Caught In A Hug

*Peach's POV*

After a little while longer of chatting with Marth then shopping with him, it was time to walk back.

We walked in silence for a good portion of the way at first but I believe that I owed Marth a big apology of Daisy's behavior.

"Marth, I am really sorry for my best friend's behavior. She only wants what's best for me which is not to end up a lonely princess with nothing but my toads and a forty cats."

Marth raised his eyebrow in question to the last part.

"Yeah, my friend has an overactive imagination."I say with a sigh.

"Clearly but it's ok. There is no need to apologize. I have a friend who is just like that. It surprising that I am not actually used to stuff like that already." We both stop and smile to look at each other.

"I should be used to it too but I'm not either. I still would like for you to accept my apology though."

"How about a hug and then we can call it even." He responds back with a smile and a light chuckle. I smile back and nod in agreement. We then take each other into each other's embrace for a hug.
I let out a sigh, not of disappointment though of relief.The hug felt really nice in my opinion. It was like holding a close family member to me that I didn't want to let go, especially with the aura that floated around him.

During the hug me and him both heard a light click and quickly withdrew from it. Now I was disappointed cause I wanted to continue hugging him. There was Ike with a camera in hand.

"Dude, I knew you liked her! Why are you lying to me bro about not liking her?" He takes a glance at the photo and breaks out laughing. Marth was about to say something but was cut off by Ike's rants.

"Don't deny it...this photo doesn't lie. If you didn't like her and she didn't like you than why do you both have your eyes closed while hugging as if you guys really love each other's company." Ike showed us the photo and all we could do is start blushing at the sight of it. Marth started to make an attempt to grab the camera but Ike quickly withdrew backwards while moving the camera out of reach from Marth.

"Nuh uh, I got to show Daisy and Samus this photo!" They are going to flip about this!"

"Wait! Daisy and Samus too?! What are you starting a fan club?!" Marth shouted.

I should have known that at least Daisy was behind this. I mean that did look like one of her mini cameras.

"Oops! I said too much!" With that, Ike sprinted away. Marth was about to chase him down but I put a hand on his shoulder before he could and nodded a 'no' saying that he wasn't worth it.

We continued on our way blushes already subsided.

"Well....I guess I should apologize for my friends antics now." Marth started with a sheepish smile.

All I could do was laugh a bit before I responded back.

"It's like you said, there are no apologies needed. Especially since I know now that Daisy was also behind it."

"Still...it seems like the right thing to do."

"How about a hug to make it an equal trade only this time a little quicker so we can avoid anymore photos being taken."

"Agreed!" He chuckled out.
