"All rise" I call out into the tense air of the living room. I can feel the fear and anticipation from the girls suffocating the room, and can't help from letting out a small laugh. "Court is now in session!"
I take a large sip from the bottle of beer I carry in one hand, and follow up with the shot of whiskey I carry in the other. It's a horrible combination, but this show is going to be too good not to indulge myself a little!
Both Sierra and Jena remain seated on opposite ends of my livingroom couch, looks of confusion apparent on both of their faces.
I kick the coffee table separating me from them across the room, breaking the bong I had sitting on it. I do it to get their attention- and it works! But I also did it because I've learned from previous sessions of Creekside Court that coffee tables can be pretty lethal. As much as that would add an... interesting element to the show- I think I could have a lot of fun with the feud I'm about to ignite between them.
No need to end it so soon!
"ALL RISE!" I yell this time after both girls continue to sit on the couch instead of standing like I'd told them.
They scramble to their feet, allowing me time to chug the rest of my beer. It's funny- If Jena wasn't carrying around that bastard child, and Sierra took better care of herself, they could look related. That wasn't unintentional; I specifically scouted Sierra because of her Jena-like looks. I just never got to see a side-by-side before.
"So I'm just going to skip all the bullshit and get right to the point," I say with a thrill I can't hide, and my blood already pumping through my veins in anticipation. "You two are going to fight! And I don't mean fight like that pussy Bad Girl's Club shit Sierra has got on the TV all the damned time- I mean fight!"
The giris' brows raise in skepticism, though Jena already knew what this was about.
Sierra is going to love this; Fighting is a personal passion of hers based on the stories some dirtier clients I send her off to tell me. So she is going to go in on Jenalyn!
I'm not going to lie, a small part of me is even concerned for Jena when it comes down to it! I mean, she's already pretty bruised and battered! I guess she's got to learn her lesson someday though, huh? I'm done with empty threats; Look where that's gotten me- taken advantage of, disobeyed, and taken for a fool.
"I can't fight a pregnant girl..." Sierra says after a few moments, eyeballing Jena with her nose scrunched up.
Jena narrows her eyes in response, but stays silent.
"On the contrary," I say with a small snicker, turning to face Jena with a smile I know she'll hate. "I want you to fight miss Jenalyn here... because she's pregnant."
Sierra furrows her brows and glances over at Jena with a shrug of her shoulders. I knew it wasn't going to take much convincing on her end; It's Jena I'm "worried" about. The girl is too soft to beat somebody's face in like she's going to have to.
"How is that supposed to solve her stealing from you, Dane?!" Jena finally opens her mouth, her voice a mix of both panicked and angry. She grows visibly anxious but tries to hide it behind her frustration with my methods of dealing with internal conflict.
I bet she didn't expect Sierra to be so cold-hearted. But she lives in a fucking fantasy world- why would she?
"Well, if you want that bastard as bad as you act like you do-" I respond matter-of-factly. "Then you'll fuck Sierra up before she fucks it up, and she'd be getting the ass whooping she deserves! Just like you'd be getting the one you deserve if she kicks your ass!"
Sierra scoffs, and Jena rolls her eyes.
"Dane, please don't fucking do this!" Jena tries to plead, only to be interrupted by three hard knocks on my door.
Oh, this is going to thrill her.
"Oh! Yes!" I call out with an excitement in my voice I know is going to tick her off. "Our company!" I make my way to the front door, watching as her face falls flat.
I open it to reveal Rob. I called him over before I brought the girls out here, letting him know I had a surprise for him.
"Rob has always been a fan of a good case of 'Creekside Court!'"
