“No way, I saw what you could do in there! You’re practically a pro!” Sierra exclaims, her demeanor over-excited. “Dane has mentioned that you dont- ...do it before, but… I couldn’t tell!”
I can feel myself blush. I have no idea how we got into such casual conversation, but we somehow steered into the direction of giving head, and she’s been hung up on it since.
“Can I ask you a personal question then?” she quickly adds, growing more excited as she offers me the roach we’d salvaged from the overflowed ashtray sitting on Dane’s nightstand. She doesn’t wait for me to answer before she continues. “Is it the same way for girls? Or is it just a guy thing?”
I choke out the hit I'd just taken, flinching for a moment when it pains my body. I can’t help but laugh at her question.
“Dane rarely books his girls for some woman just looking to get some head,” I say matter-of-factly. “The most I’ve done was a threesome, and the woman was more fond of going down on me. So.”
Sierra’s jaw falls open before she lets out a laugh. “You’ve never hooked up with a girl?!” she asks, astounded, before taking the roach from me. “That’s crazy! Secret? I prefer girls! Well- mostly.”
Oh... wow. I don’t think I expected that to just come up in conversation!
I don’t really know how to react…
“Why’re you with Dane then?” I ask before I know it. “He is... far from a girl! That makes no sens-“
Sierra laughs again, interrupting me.
“I didn’t ask for this!” she exclaims mid laugh. “I was just hanging out one day... and he had drugs. So I let him take me home! I didn’t like him or anything!”
I still don’t know how to react.
So Dane just saw a girl on the street he could pretend was me, and kidnapped her?
“Why didn’t you just leave then?” I ask after a moment, confusion on my face as I hit the roach she’d handed back to me. “If he wasn’t using you as one of his girls, he should’ve let you go, right?”
Sierra playfully rolls her eyes and shorts the roach when I hand it back to her. She has a look on her face as if to contemplate whether she should honestly answer my question.
“Honestly…” she starts, pausing for a moment before deciding that I’m trustworthy enough to continue. “I’ve got a thing for Robbie… he’s just the perfect mix of badass and bitch-boy!”
... Robbie? As in Rob… what the hell?
I don’t know why I feel a pang of anger? or jealousy? But I do.
“You can’t fuck with Rob,” I say, covering it with a laugh though laughing is the last thing I want to do right now. “You really think it’s a good idea to have an interest in Dane’s bitch-boy while fucking with him? C’mon Sierra...”
She looks slightly offended, but still let’s out a small laugh.
“You’re back! He doesn’t need me anymore!” she says almost excitedly. “I was just going to dip- but.. Dane clearly isn’t going to let that happen. So… why not?“
Why not? Why fucking not?!
For starters, that’s fucking crazy! Whether Sierra was just a “stand-in” to Dane or not- the fact of the matter is that he was with her! And Dane isn’t just going to let her migrate over to Rob because I’m here!
And second off... Rob is the father of this baby in my belly. He and I may be the only people besides Evelyn that knows this, but it’s still got to count for something!
He’s not just going to run off into the sunset with some stand-in Jenalyn too!
This girl is out of her damned mind!
“Because that’s really not in your best interest,” I say, unintentionally narrowing my eyes at her. “Nobody is going to just... let that happen.”
