I know when Dane comes home because the whole house shakes when he slams the door shut. It’s almost like he drains all the air from the house too.
My chest tightens knowing that he’s here.
I don’t know what’s going to happen… am I off of the hook because I did what he wanted me to do? If so, why am I in here? Does he feel bad enough to cut me any slack yet? Again, if so, why am I in here? The fact that he shoved me back into this dungeon of a room can’t mean anything good.
Maybe I should just pretend to be asleep. He didn’t bother me last night when I was knocked out after the fight... maybe he won’t today either.
I hear the locks outside of the door being turned, and the door being forcefully pulled open. I’m thankful I already made my way back to the pile of pillows on the floor. I immediately close my eyes and try to even out my breathing.
“Jenalyn, get up,” Dane demands, ignoring my sleeping act. I hear his heavy boots against the floor as he approaches me. My body tenses out of habit. If he thought I was asleep before- he knows I’m not now. “We still have a deal with this brick you cost me. Don’t think I forgot!”
In a quick motion he scoops me up off the floor and throws me over his shoulder.
“Ow! Dane you’re hurting me!-“ I cry out as my bruised body is forcefully thrown against his.
He let’s out a small laugh, proceeding to walk out of the room with me thrown over his shoulder. “You shouldn’t have pretended to be asleep then!” He says matter-of-factly before motioning something to someone in the livingroom and making his way to his bedroom.
He tosses me on his bed once we're in his room, and turns around to head to his safe in his closet. He emerges as Sierra reluctantly walks through his bedroom door.
Ugh… great.
I’m not saying that I was hoping to have killed her last night when I smacked her in the head with that ashtray- but I am saying I was hoping I never would have had to see her again…
“Jena, get in the shower. You look fucking disgusting,” Dane says as he tosses a brick on to the desk beside his TV. “You’ve got about ten minutes before I expect you out, so scram.”
I’m thankful for the shower, but can’t help from growing uneasy. I know Dane isn’t doing this to be nice... he’s got a motive behind it- and probably something sexual too.
I just don’t understand why he called Sierra in here then…
I pull myself from the mattress and begin making my way to the shower. “C- can you come with me for a second?” I force myself to ask before I make it there, hoping for a chance to talk to him about his intentions.
He turns away from his desk only to look at me with his brows furrowed. “You can’t even shower yourself, and you expect to have a baby?” he asks with a dark smirk on his face.
Sierra snickers behind me, but stops instantly when Dane shoots her a warning glare. He returns his gaze back to me with a small sigh before signaling toward the bathroom.
“Go take a shower, Jenalyn,” he says without hesitation. “I don’t have time for your games today. Only mine.”
