Words can’t even explain the temperature of the blood raging through my veins when I spread Jena open to find that, aside from her usual as of lately wet, she’s dry.

I was sure... I was so fucking sure when Evelyn told me that Rob and Jena were spending bits of time together, that my gut feeling has been right all along. I was sure they’ve been getting into some shit behind my goddamned back!

I gave them time to get comfortable. I didn’t have Ev tip me off right away! If they were getting into something, they’d need a couple times uncaught to let their guards down, right?

Wrong! Fucking wrong!

I know Jenalyn. This should have been a successful bust if they were up to something! The bitch is too fucking selfish and dumb to be able to cover up an offense like that this fast!

“Yo! Dane! What the fuck is going on here!” Rob exclaims behind me, his voice both confused and panicked at the same time.

I only remember I’m choking Jena when he pulls me from my mind enough to do it. Her face is turning a dark red… I should probably let her go, but I’m not taking well to having been wrong and seemingly making a fool of myself.

“Dane! Did they?” Evelyn calls out now too, her voice matching the panicked tone that just lined Rob’s. “Is she wet?! Come on! D- don’t kill her!”

I’m sure they don’t want to see me kill her right here, right now... especially only to find that I did it out of frustration toward myself for being wrong about them.

But I have to fucking do something! I’m sure as hell not about to drop her, apologize, and put my goddamned tail between my legs!

“Dane!” Rob yells again after Jena starts choking out the last bits of air inside of her. “Wait, you don’t think? … Do you think I’m fucking her?! Dude-“

I finally bring myself to drop Jena- but only because all of my attention centers in on Rob now, and I have to turn to face him.

Jenalyn falls to the floor, choking. I see Evelyn rush over to her after, but barely pay any mind to it.

“You think she’s pretty, don’t you Rob?” I ask after a moment, crossing my arms over my chest as I try to shift the focus from my mistake to why this goddamned mistake happened in the first place. “It wouldn’t be outlandish for me to think you’d want to fuck her, in my opinion... but I mean, we’re buds though, Rob… right? You wouldn’t let that shit happen!”

Rob let’s out a laugh while shaking his head, though behind it I can still see the fear he tries so hard to hide from me. “Nah, man!” he laughs. “You know I wouldn’t let that shit happen! That’s why I’m confused-“

I have to interrupt. He, very intentionally it seems, avoided my other questions. We’re not fucking having that!

“Is Jena pretty, Rob?” I ask, narrowing my eyes at him as I interrupt.

Rob’s smile and attempt at a relaxed demeanor visibly falls. I’m sure he’s questioning his response.

Of course he thinks she’s pretty; Who the fuck doesn’t? But I’m also sure he’s considering my follow-up to that question, and wondering if he should really dig his own grave.

Ultimately, he must know not to fucking lie to me.

“Yeah, Dane… she’s a pretty girl,” he responds wearily, though still trying to keep his cool. “That doesn’t mean that I’d-”

I interrupt again.

“And you want to fuck pretty girls, don’t you Rob?” I ask, narrowing my eyes once again as I shift my weight to my other leg.

Rob tries to hide an eye roll, but fails. He’s lucky it didn’t seem too snarky, or I’d have popped those eyes right from his skull. He knows the answer I’m looking for, but he’s reluctant to give it in anticipation for what will follow again.

“I’m a man, Dane! Of course I like to fuck attractive females!” he exclaims defensively, quick to follow up after. “-again though, that doesn’t mean-“

This time I interrupt him with a laugh.

Rob flattens his brows as if to be annoyed, but knows better than to do or say anything about it.

“So you want to fuck Jenalyn, no?” I ask after a few moments, all traces of my previous smile and laughing gone. I leave a couple moments for that to set in, ignoring what it irks inside of me. “Would you say, based on your previous responses... that that’s an accurate assumption?”

Rob let’s out an annoyed yet defeated sigh, rolling his eyes once again before he crosses them over his chest. “Yeah. Sure. I guess. If you put it like that.” he mumbles. “But just because I want-“

I interrupt him one last time before I turn back around to retrieve Jena.

“Okay,” I say, snatching her from the floor and dragging her toward the hallway. “Okay. Well, let’s see what we can do about that.
