I thought about sending Sierra home before I went to go pick Jena up, but considering Ev’s current state? I decided against it. I could use her to walk Ev back over to Rob’s place, saving me the trouble.

Plus, the look on Jena’s face when she walked into my apartment to see another female seated so comfortably on my sofa without being beat was priceless.

“Take Ev home,” I demand as soon as I walk through the door.

Sierra lazily pulls her eyes from the TV, widening them once the land on Jenalyn behind me. “Holy shit, Evy! You weren’t lying!” she gasps, clenching her hands to her chest as she stands to her feet.

Evelyn doesn’t respond; She’s way too fucking high, standing draped over a very uncomfortable looking Jena.

“Hi, I’m Sierra!” she rushes over to say before peeling Evelyn from Jena’s body. “Ev has said so much about you! I always thought she was lying because- well, you’re Hayd-

I cut her off, growing frustrated with her voice all too quick. “Did I tell you socialize?” I growl as I turn to face Sierra. “Or did I tell you to take Evelyn the fuck home?”

She glances over her shoulder at me wearing a look she knows I’d usually beat her for. She must assume I’ll be on my best behavior because of our “company.”

That, or my mind is too preoccupied with the bullshit Jena is going to make me put her through to give a shit.

Either way, I let it go with a warning glare as I pull a duffel bag from my safe.

I hear Sierra sigh, sure an eye roll accompanied it. “Fine,” she says with attitude dripping from her voice. “I’ll just leave you two alone then.”

I don’t bother to respond. It pays off too, because after a few moments, she leaves with Evelyn.

“That’s Sierra,” I say to Jena after a short silence. I tear open a baggie of this Columbian shit I got. “She reminds me a lot of you; in attitude, in looks, almost in bed…”

Jena doesn’t move from where she still stands nervously beside the front door. She doesn’t respond either.

“I guess I won’t be needing her now that I’ve got the one and only Jenalyn back, huh?” I ask anyway. Breaking down two thick lines, I turn to her. “Come sit, don’t be shy. This is your home again, right?”

She knows what I’m about to make her do, and I can tell that despite her promise to “do anything,” she’s going to put up a fight. That’s fine though; She has no idea what’s in store.

After a few moments, she reluctantly makes her way over to me. She lowers herself to the floor on the other side of the coffee table, her hands trembling.

I have to admit even to myself that I’ve missed her. Those aren’t the thoughts I need passing through my mind right now, but they do.

“Do you know what I like about Sierra?” I ask, growing too disgusted with my love for her, and needing something to break it up.

She still doesn’t open her mouth.

I’m sure she’s trying to be on her best behavior. She thinks that’ll keep the elephant of a punishment in the room less severe.

But I’ve had a lot of time to think about this.

At first, I thought she didn’t end her pregnancy because she couldn’t bring herself to do the drugs in the Children’s Ward of a mental institution. But I gave her time after she got out too! Of course she had to be sneaky, trying to ignore my demands all together. But I waited, and waited, and waited… until it became clear! She didn’t respect me.

Well, this is it! She asked for it! There’s nothing I can do. I told her that I would take matters into my own hands if she didn’t comply; and she didn’t. I push myself from my thoughts, looking Jena straight in the eye as I continue.

“I like that she’s you, minus the one thing keeping your baby from living! The promiscuity,” I say, shoving a hypothetical dagger into her chest. I let out a small chuckle. “You know… I could probably have a baby with her!”

Sometimes you have to throw salt in the wound. She should know that by now.
