I’m not sure why these guys thought they stood a chance against us. Gen Z doesn’t rely on computer programs to compose and play our music like Easy High does; Of course we’d slay them on Band Hero!
“Hold up, hold up!” Paul calls out over the hooting and hollering filling the backyard. “I’m choosing the next playlist! We’re going again!”
Sore losers. I told them they had no hope!
Gage alone could go up against all three of them and still come out victorious!
“Face it!” Pete laughs, setting down the plastic guitar to go retrieve a cup of rum. “We won, fair and square! And we’ll keep winning no matter how many times you make us play!”
A playful wrestling match breaks out between him and Paul, knocking the projector and game console from its stand and sending it crashing into the grass. You’d think Paul would be more worried about it, but the guys are too hyped up with their wrestling match now to care.
I laugh to myself, but take the opportunity to go find Hayden. I saw that she left the backyard after we won our first match. I don’t see Zain either, so it’s become clear that I have to go hunt her down.
“Where are you going?” Gage asks, noticing as I try to slip into the house.
I make up some excuse about grabbing a drink, but he knows that I’ve been trying to quit since everything happened with Sophie. I’m sure he knows it’s a lie.
I don’t bother to backtrack though, I just slide past him without another word as a pit forms in my stomach.
They’re not in the kitchen. Besides the livingroom, and that’s questionable, the kitchen is the only place Hayden should be with Zain…
I try not to let myself grow angry off assumptions, but my fists clench together the moment I walk out to find that the livingroom is empty too.
I storm down the hallway, swinging open the bathroom door and expecting to find her riding him. It's a horrible expectation to hae, but I don't fucking put it past her!
Nobody is in there, and for a moment I start to feel a sense of relief wash over my body.
It’s a short moment though, because just as I start to relax a little? A familiar sound floats down the hallway to my ears.
Hayden giggling and shushing someone, her tone eager and all to familiar to our most private times.
I follow it to a room with its door cracked open, and fill with both dread and anger as I shove it the rest of the way.
Hayden sits spread out on a small red couch centering a studio, while Zain kneels down between her legs, kissing her neck and chest.
I’m glad they didn’t notice me open the door, because the look on both of their faces as I storm in and rip him from on top of her is priceless.
“What the fuck, man?!” I spit at him, shoving him into the wall behind us the moment he regains his balance. “You think it’s alright to fuck with your friend's girl?!”
My blood is boiling. I don’t wait for him to say anything before I throw my fist into his jaw, knocking him into the wall behind him again with a hard crash.
“Tyler! What the fuck!” Hayden screams behind me.
I can’t pay her any mind though. I need to get the fuck out of here before I kill this guy.
