mike wheeler was uncomfortable. very uncomfortable. one of janes hands was on mike's shoulder while her other hand was on his thigh. she began to slip tongue into the kiss she gave him.

mike's eyes were wide open. he then pulled away, getting up. "sorry, totally forgot that i have an english paper due monday. i'll see you tomorrow, yeah?"

jane rolled her eyes. "what? we were just getting started though."

"mmm, yeah sorry though. i haven't even started writing it yet. but i'll see you tomorrow, alright? bye!" mike faked a grin as he walked out of the cabin. "thank god."

"mike, wait!" jane yelled, running towards him.

mike rolled his eyes, turning around and looking over at her. "yeah?"

"i'm breaking up with you." jane sighed.

instead of mike being sad, he just grinned. jane looked over at him, confused as to why he was so happy. she raised and eyebrow, as mike smiled widely.

"oh, why?" mike asked, realizing that he was grinning widely.

"i cheated on you."

"oh, okay. well bye!" mike smirked, walking away from the girl.

mike was not happy in the relationship that he was in. he used to be. he used to be really happy, but now he's just uncomfortable.

jane used to be all that he thought about. jane this-jane that. but now it's just y/n this-y/n that. y/n is all that mike can ever think about now.

mike never meant to catch feelings for y/n, but he just did. he couldn't stop himself, she was just so perfect.

mike knew that he was an asshole for keeping his feelings to himself. that he liked y/n yet he was still dating jane. so he just kept being in an uncomfortable relationship with a girl that he doesn't even love anymore.

well, until now. since she had just broken up with the boy. and he couldn't be happier.

"hey mike, what's up?" y/n asked as she biked towards him.

mike stopped his bike, getting off of it and turning to y/n. "hey y/n. oh uh, nothing much. you?"

"also, nothing much." y/n smiled. "so where you headed?"

"home."

"on a friday? at five?"

"i mean why not?"
