the breath on her neck was recognizable. she felt it every night. the same uncomfortable hot breath.
y/n hated it, it frightened her but she learned to ignore it.

she knew it was miles, but she pretended to be asleep each time. not wanting to deal with him or his sick games.

y/n woke up for once having a good sleep, it was rare for her to have had a good night sleep. really rare. she always felt a weird presence in her room, like someone was watching her.

but once again, she learned to ignore it. she knew that she had to hide it all, her fear. she was braver then her sister kate, for kate did show fear. it was all over her face.

y/n got up from bed and took a quick shower, she did everything quickly because still, she felt eyes on her. once she got ready she went into the kitchen.

there she saw kate sitting on the kitchen island and drinking a cup of coffee. y/n sat besides her, seeing the big bags under her sisters eyes.

"what was it now?" y/n whispered.

kate turned to y/n. "i saw her again."

y/n nodded and grabbed her sisters cup of coffee, bringing it to her lips. "once again, i believe you."

kate slightly smiled and got up. "well no one else seems to. you ready for your classes?"

y/n nodded and followed her sister who led her to a room where school supplies were seen everywhere. when kate got hired for this job y/n had to come, since she was her only family, and y/n agreed to get taught by kate.

y/n sat on a desk and began to read. kate then set up flora's desk by neatly placing a book and a journal on the desk.

y/n and kate both looked at each other as they heard laughter coming towards them. y/n looked away and glued her eyes on the book.

the door flew open which revealed miles and flora. flora happily skipped towards kate and gave her a hug. "morning kate!"

kate smiled. "hi flora, miles."

miles ignored kate and walked towards y/n. who kept reading the book, she held her head with her hand. he sat next to her and also kept his head into his arms.

"morning y/n. how are you?" miles asked.

"okay." she answered as her eyes didn't leave the book.
