Chapter 26: gone

"What! What happened!" He asked, panicking. I saw his eyes dimmer but he obviously didn't get a reaction. "No no! Not again!  Can't lose him..." I saw he started to hyperventilate so I pushed him down and sat upon his lap.

"Sideswipe! Look at me!" I stated sternly, turning his head towards me, holding his jaw. "We will find him! Don't worry! Sunstreaker is strong so whatever happened to him he will be fine! With panicking we won't get him back! Just relax take a deep breath and calm down!" I told him firmly.

He looked at me, still with panic in his eyes, but he took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. "Good!" I said standing up and turning towards the soldier. "What happened! And don't yell you only make him upset!" I growled as he opened his mouth to speak.

"We had sent him for a normal regular patrol... but for some reason he got off the route, we lost contact 20 minutes later, he told us there was a strange signal and wanted to investigate..." he said calmly this time.

Sideswipe was shaking, he was very upset about the whole ordeal. "Okay..." I said, looking at Sideswipe. The soldier left and I laid my hand on his cheek, he leaned into my touch. "We will find him..." I whispered, pecking his cheek with all the courage I had. Sideswipe gave a weak smile before his holoform disappeared.

I walked over to the main hanger, seeing Sideswipe talking to Optimus and Ironhide. I was worried about Sunny, but I knew he was too stubborn to die, just for a moment I thought maybe Ally had something to do with it but brushed it off, she couldn't kidnap one of the most feared and skilled Autobots, that was impossible, besides that Sunstreaker was going to murder her if he would see her.

Sideswipe skated over to me "they have no idea where my twin is! I'm going out with Ironhide, bee, and Dino to see if we can find something," he said. "Okay... good luck," I said. He gave a nod before transformed and drove off. I glanced at Lennox approaching me.

"He seems to get closer to you..." he said. I hummed softly "we're only friends... Sideswipe deserves someone better," I said. Lennox shook his head "he's happy with you and I'm sure it will become more than just friends," he said. I rolled my eyes "Sideswipe is complicated... I don't think I can give him what he wants and I want him to be happy... I just don't think I can give him that... but I will always love him..." I sighed.

Lennox shook his head "tell him!" He pushed. I shook my head again "no! It will only ruin our friendship and he just broke up with Ally... this whole thing with sunny-...." my voice died down. "No! I don't wanna do that..." I finished finally. "You're making a mistake! That mech loves you!" He said while walking away.

"Why would he..." I sulked, thinking about what he just told me.

Sideswipe returned defeated, I was sitting in my room until Sideswipe stormed in, he used his mass displacement which was odd for him, he never used that before. He skated over to me and pulled me in a tight hug.

I softly stroke his helm "he's gone!" He said muffled while getting limp on my body, almost crushing me. I gently wrapped my arm around him and stroke his helm "he will come back... I'm sure of that," I whispered. Sideswipe let out a desperate groan before he got up and cleared his throat. "I'm sorry..." he sulked.

I slowly got up and laid my hand on his metal cheek "it's fine... what's gonna happen now?" I asked. Sideswipe hold my hand pressed against his cheek and offlined his optics for a moment. His servo's wrapped around my waist and pulled me closer to his chest. Startled I looked at him while my eyes locked with his bright blue optics.

He softly brushed some hair out of my face, smiling weakly at me. "You're so beautiful..." he whispered, making my heart flutter. "T-thanks..." I stuttered, for a moment I thought about telling him how I felt, but I hold it back. "Something you wanna say to me?" He asked as he saw I wanted to say something.

I shook my head "no..." my voice died down "Are you sure?" He asked. I nodded confidently and I saw he was a bit disappointed, making me confused. "Something wrong?" I asked. "No of course not... just sad about my brother," he sulked, letting go of me. I raised a brow while watching him.

"Don't worry! We will find him!" I said. "I can't lose him again! Sunny is not only my twin brother but also my best friend! I just had him back and now he's gone again! I can't lose him again!" He whined depressed, laying down on my bed while staring at the ceiling. I sighed while I got up and sat next to him "I know..."I whispered, traveling my hand over his chassis to his flank.

He shuddered at that and I noticed he was heating up, making me giggle before I pulled my hand, I didn't want to turn him on. Sideswipe flashed his optics towards me with a huff but said nothing.

Sideswipe grasped my hand, softly squeezing it. "You won't leave me right?" He asked. I smiled warmly and shook my head. "No sides... I'm not going anywhere..."
