A Wide Smile

Mara's P.O.V.

It was the day before our first show, so of course, we had one last rehearsal.

I looked around for Ashton. I don't even know why I was looking for him, but I wanted to talk to him. I could've just ignored him, but I haven't talked to him in days, and it felt weird. Even if I saw him and just said hi to him, I'd be okay.

I sighed in relief when he came through the front doors of the auditorium. I wanted to run up to him and throw myself into his arms. I wanted to smile and giggle to him when he smiled, but I was supposed to be mad at him, so I acted like I still was.

He came up to me and tapped me on the shoulder. "Hey," he said quietly.

"Hi," I murmered.

He half smiled to me, but not a wide enough smile to make his dimples appear. It made me kind of sad, but at least it was a half-ass smile. And what did I except anyway? We didn't speak for days, so why the hell would he smile widely anyway?

"Let's do a fucking awesome rehearsal, okay?" He smiled to me before walking off to his changing room.

That time, the smile was wide enough to see his dimples.
