With the new discovery that he had learned from Isa, Jesse wandered the halls absentmindedly. He was in the accident, too? And Jess? Was this why the both of them had trouble recalling things from before the event? They believed it was due to emotional trauma but all of this busted that theory. They were drugged to forget, given medicine to purge it ever happening to them.

As he meandered around the building, a pull took him over to a room in the corner sealed with tinted glass and a locked door marked "Level 4 Personnel Only". This was where Jess, Petra, and Gabriel were being treated, the entire room quarantined and only those who had been disinfected thoroughly could enter. Jesse had never been able to enter due to his burn wounds, the scars plentiful with bacteria and viruses hidden within all the pus that piled up on his skin. Olivia had been inside multiple times since she was okay physically, so Jesse received all his information about the three from Olivia.

Last he heard, some new progress was made with the weakening effects of the Wither sickness. Gabriel was able to stand again and walk around for a couple hours without getting tired which delighted the Warrior - he wasn't used to being so physically frail. Petra still had some issues since her main problem was the amnesia, but they were able to use her blood to stop the painful clotting in older people who had been infected which was good news. He had heard some of their screams in other centers and couldn't help but cover his ears and wince every time he passed by them.

For his sister, it was healing all of her injuries that was the main focus. Her new hand was working perfectly and all the major wounds were patched up but everyone was worried about her mental state when she woke up - if she ever woke up. It is drastic, for one, to wake up in a hospital and realize you've been out for a month, but it is even more drastic when you wake up and realize your hand is not your own, now made of metal and plastic. The pain isn't conducive to the situation, either. When you wake up, most likely your sedatives will have worn off and you open your eyes to find yourself screaming in bed. Jesse would know - he was in that situation.

Then again, Jess was, as well. The spotty memories from Endercon were coming back to him, albeit slowly. He remembered waking up in that cursed hospital bed, feeling the ghost pains in his left arm. The only other thing he could remember was the doctor with him at the time forcing a mask over his face and telling him to breathe deeply. Jesse shuddered. He still couldn't believe that had happened to him. By the time Jess woke up, she would probably remember everything. With all of his heart, he hoped that she would be okay in the end, whether it was through their love or her death. There were so many loose ends to clean up and getting rid of the pain was the first step.

The glass suddenly turned transparent, allowing Jesse to now see everything that was happening within the secretive room. His eyes darted frantically as he took in what he could, afraid that the glass would turn dark again and he would never know what inside was like.

To the left were a group of doctors and nurses huddled in a circle, surrounding a clipboard with possible sensitive information. On the other side of the curtains were the patients. There were a handful of people he didn't recognize but he noticed the large red exclamation marks on signs hung above Jess, Petra, and a few others. Did they have priority due to their circumstances? Or maybe their constitution had something significant for them to study? Or maybe it was straightforward and based off their injuries, mentally and physically?

Gabriel, sitting on the edge of his bed, had turned and noticed Jesse staring through the window. With a look of surprise on his face, he pointed at Jesse as if it wasn't possible that the young teen were standing there. Jesse waved at him, allowing the Warrior to realize that Jesse could really see him, and he waved back.
