"Hey, what are you up to?" Lukas wiped the last of the clay bowls down with a cloth and stood up. Jesse grabbed his bag and took out a circular item, nodding his head towards the map. The blonde, understanding, replied with a slight bow and followed him towards the amulet stand.

Gabriel and Magnus noticed the two making their way to the front of the room and looked at each other. In telepathic agreement, they helped each other up and walked a few feet behind the two teens. Axel was unsure of what was happening but got up anyway.

Olivia and Ellegaard appeared from the stairway and walked past Gabriel and Magnus, the Engineer not wasting a moment to glare at the Rogue. Magnus simply rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.

Jesse placed the amulet on the stand and turned to face one of the others. With a subtle jerk of his head, he asked someone to flip the switch on the back. Lukas immediately went and pulled the lever.

The bright beam of light shone right through the center of the amulet, splitting into three colors, all centered on one area on the map. Magnus gasped in amazement and Ellegaard hummed as she tapped her chin.

"Huh. I really wondered if you knew how to turn this map on or not but I guess you can. Good job." Her condescending tone elicited an annoyed groan from Jesse. I guess I can see why Magnus doesn't like her much, he thought.

The Ocelot leader returned back to the crowd and stared at the map. "So, those lights are where we are, all three of you..." He gestured at the Order. "What are we trying to find, Jesse?"

"Soren."

As if on cue, a pure white light flickered and shot out of the white glass on the amulet, appearing at the top of the map. "Speak of the devil," Magnus smirked.

"That's right," breathed Ellegaard. "After we split up, Soren left to his base in the mountains north of here to continue doing his experiments. That's where he's been this entire time."

"You know, I never liked Soren's and your little brainy club," mentioned the Griefer, his mask crinkling from the creasing of his brows. "Always going on about stuff that no one understands."

"Well, the brainy club may have found a solution to the Witherstorm, so keep talking."

"You two," coughed Gabriel, "stop it. This is not the time."

"Guys," yelled both Axel and Olivia, pointing at the map. "Look!"

Everyone stopped bickering to turn to the wall and see what came up. A dark blue beam was moving across the map, through a forest and grasslands, towards Soren's white light.

"The map- the new light- oh god, no." Jesse held his head in panic and stared at the ground.

"Who is that?" Axel asked with absolute obliviousness.

"It didn't do that before," whispered Olivia to no one in particular.

"Who else would it be other than Ivor?" spat the male twin, racking his head for different plans.

Gabriel fixed his view on the slowly but surely moving beam of blue light and furrowed his brow. "If Ivor is making his way to Soren's, then we need to move quickly. Who knows what will happen if he gets his hands on any of Soren's inventions?"

Jesse cleared his head and calmed down, inspecting the map. "It's not too far. We can probably make it on foot."

"Okay, then let's get some rest and set out first thing in the morning," Ellegaard said, looking back and forth between the map. "Ivor will probably make it after us, even if we take a break. We can't go during nighttime when all those dangerous creatures are out."

"Uh, no, we are not," interrupted Magnus, "because if we take even a small break, that monster is gonna catch up to us, and it's more of a threat than any of those pansy nocturnal animals. We've already wasted too many hours here in the temple. We should set out now."

"We are not going to let ourselves be caught in the dark."

"If you'd seen that Storm, you'd know that it's better we get caught in the dark rather than sucked up by its tractor beams."

"Honestly, I think we should leave now," Jesse spoke over them, getting nods of approval from Axel, Lukas, Gabriel, and Magnus. "I don't want it to catch up with us. We don't stand a chance against it - not without the Formi- Fordi- something-bomb."

"Formidi-bomb," glared Ellegaard, disappointed as his choice.

"Thank you, Jesse, for being the wiser man and choosing the right choice." Magnus gloated internally and watched the steampunk-engineer fume quietly. "And we're going to Soren's for the F-bomb?"

"Yeah, we've been told it has the power of a crapload of TNT."

"Soren always told me that dropping the F-bomb could destroy anything."

Axel and Olivia snickered while Gabriel, Lukas, and Ellegaard sighed, bringing their hands up to their face. Jesse stifled a laugh and tried to stay stern-faced.

"Well, we should pack our things if we're setting off now," Lukas suggested, cleaning up some spare items scattered on the floor. "It's already evening, but if we leave soon, we'll arrive either before or during sunrise."

Everyone agreed, albeit not without some grumpiness from Ellegaard, and left to collect their materials. Jesse watched as everyone picked up their tools and bags, face slowly falling in worry.

There was only so many of them, and only so many were strong enough to continue. Would they really be able to defeat the Witherstorm? Would everyone be able to reclaim their normal lives after this was over?

It didn't help that just a few hours ago, he was given proof of his sister possibly being inside the Storm. And Petra, too. All the things Jesse expressed to Lukas and Gabriel earlier came back and he bit his lip. How long ago had that picture been sent? There was no way of knowing until they found Petra again, and that could take a long time.

He sighed. The brown-haired twin was willing to bet his life on the words of Gabriel and Ellegaard. Soren would have the inventions to destroy the Witherstorm. Soren would fix everything. He just had to.

Soren was his only hope.
