Mary Beth was sitting in silence while her boyfriend Owen tried to process everything that just happened.

Kai had offered to drive Mary Beth to go drive down to Owens family house where he was staying for a few days.

Before they got there:

"So tell me again how your here?" She asked sitting in the passengers seat.

"Because your easily distracted." He said giving her a bag of marshmallows.

"Ooh marshmallows!" She said taking the bag and eating some immediately.

"Such a child." He chuckled. "Told you."

"Oh damn." She replied, still eating the marshmallows.

Mary Beth wasn't completely opposed to the idea of having Kai here, but she had wanted to talk to Owen alone.

"Fine seeing as how your already driving fine. But you can't watch me talk to him." She reasons.

"Fine fine."

They had played twenty questions and were laughing the whole ride there. Although they asked more than twenty questions. Mary Beth felt like they were getting closer. Which was part of her whole feelings plan.

All he needed was a friend. When he told her the story of his family she nearly cried and hugged him immediately. But he earned a flick on the ear after not hugging back.

Damon finally stopped nagging her for wanting to help Kai seeing as how there was no use. So he took Elena's advice and was the supportive "big brother" who watched from the sidelines.

"What's you favorite color?" He asked.

"Rainbow. What's your favorite movie?" She replied.

"What? Rainbow isn't a color."

"Yes it is."

"I don't think so. It's multiple colors." He told her.

"Fine then red. But I still love all the others too." She shot back.

"Fair enough."

Then he pulled into the driveway of the house where Owen was staying.

"Remember your not coming in." She reminded.

"I know I know. Go in there and yell at your boyfriend." He said waiting for her reaction.

"Kai! I'm not going to yell at anyone." She yelled.

"Whatever you say." He grinned.

He watched her walk into the house and took a deep breath. He doesn't have feelings. He was trying to tell himself that weird feeling in his stomach was just because of the long drive.

He has a girlfriend who he adored and really liked. And she has a boyfriend who she's going to go talk to right now. Stop it! He thought.

Inside:

"Owen!" She called.

"Mary Beth?" He replied coming down stairs surprised to see her. "Baby!"

He ran the rest of the stairs and went to go kiss her. She completely forgot about what she was supposed to tell him. She kissed him back before he pulled away.

"What are you doing here?" He asked. "Is this about the other day? Look I'm really sorry I was trying to handle stuff here with my mom and I completely forgot. Please forgive me?"

Mary Beth wasn't sure what he was talking about for a second then remembered the reason she came.

"Right. You have to stop doing that." She said not even mad anymore.

"I won't promise." He said kissing her again.

She was glad she came. She hadn't seen him in a while. He cares about her and the way he ran to her made her heart melt. He backed her up against the wall gripping her waist knocking a vase over.

Mary Beth pulled away and caught the vase with her magic. Owen looked over to what she was doing and realized the vase was hovering over the ground.

"What the?"

"Oh!" She gasped letting the vase gently go to the floor.

"What the hell was that."

"Um." She said nervously.

Now:

Owen was shocked at the things his girlfriend just told him. He was sitting down on the couch trying to process what she just said.

Mary Beth had showed him what she could do with pillow feathers like Bonnie had shown Elena and her once. She told him about everything. That most of her friends were vampires and werewolves and that she was a witch.

She didn't tell him her situation with Kai but she did tell Owen about him. He was too shocked about everything else to even become jealous. Which Mary Beth was grateful for because when he got jealous he yelled.

"Are you okay?" She asked.

"I just found out my girlfriend a mythical creature. How would you be?" He replied.

"That's fair." She nodded.

"So-" he cleared his throat. "Your a-"

"Yes."

"And your sister is-"

"Yep."

"And your other friends are-"

"Mostly." She said.

"Hmm. And who- whose this Kai character?" He asked.

"My friend. He's a heretic. That's a witch and a vampire. But I love you. Being a witch doesn't change anything." She told him kissing his lips.

He had mostly gotten over the shock. His girlfriend was a witch. Wow. He realized he should probably treat her nicer. He didn't want her putting crabs in his balls or something.

Not that she would ever do anything like that. Mary Beth adored him. Which was hilarious. He kissed her back letting her know everything was okay.
