"I already told you I'm fine Kai." Mary Beth tried to explain to her boyfriend. But he wasn't having it. He was so worried.

"If something would have happened to you I would never be able to forgive myself." He said.

"But nothing did happen Kai. I'm fine. I promise." She told him.

"You promise?"

"Of course. I'm with you."

He smiled and hugged her closer. They were in her room on her bed. Kai tried to convince her to let her feed on him in case she had any injuries. She didn't need his blood. She had fed from him before and he had fed on her when they were intimate with each other. But she insisted she was fine.

"At least we're leaving soon." She said as she turned around. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close.

"Yes. Thankfully."

"I still have to tell Elena." She reminded herself.

"We will. Just not now. I need you to be here right now."

"There's no where else I'd rather be."

"Feeling better?" She asked her boyfriend as he ate his pancakes.

"Much better thank you." Kai responded.

He still felt terrible about the whole thing and Mary Beth felt it. So she took him out to their diner to get some pancakes. That place was like a little heaven. They had a lot of good memories there.

"Good. Now I'm going to go use the bathroom. Stay here."

"Wait." He said. He grabbed her wrist and brought her down to kiss her lovingly as if she'd disappear.

"I love you too." She smiled when he pulled away.

She walked away and Kai watched her walk into the bathroom. He was lucky they had such a great connection. The only reason he went over to Owens was because he got that bad gut feeling he always got when something was wrong. But this time it was worse. He didn't feel right so he went over there immediately.

They were leaving. That was what he thought about all the time. After Mary Beth told Elena and her friends they would leave. They would travel the world and he would spoil her and love her. They would just be together. Away from here.

Mary Beth walked out of the bathroom. Kai got up to tell her he was ready to leave.

"Took you long enough. You ready to go?" He asked.

"Do I know you?" She asked.

"Ha ha very funny. Come on."

"Um I'm sorry you must have mistaken me for someone else." She replied walking away.

What the hell was that? He thought. He suddenly got the bad gut feeling he grew to hate. But it was ten times worse than the times she was at Owen's. He felt empty. Like there was no love.

Suddenly a certain British Red head came to his side.

"I don't believe I've seen you before but I'm going to assume you were with her?" Klaus Mikaelson asked.

"Who's asking?"

"Klaus Mikaelson at your despair. How do you do?" He said.

"What the hell was that? Why doesn't she know me?" Kai asked.

"Well I'm afraid she doesn't know anything at the moment. She knows her family and that's it. She doesn't know she's a witch or that there's a supernatural world. She doesn't know who you or who any of her friends are."

"Why? What did you do? Who are you?"

"I told them I was going to get even, Well this is me getting even. Enjoy your sad life without that girl." The Brit replied walking off.
