✨When I was your man✨

Mary Beth was currently sitting down on Owen Newborns couch. The ex-boyfriend has called her to apologize. He sounded genuine. Kai didn't want her to go considering all the things he did.

But she thought if he apologized she'd feel better about the way things ended. Kai couldn't stop her. After Mary Beth wanted to do something nothing could stop her.

"I never meant to hurt you." He said.

"It seems like you did. What you did really hurt. I trusted you." She responded.

"I know. I'm sorry."

"Give me a little bit on the forgiveness part." She replied.

"Will you take me back now?"

"What? I didn't come here for that."

"Come on Mary Beth. We both know you still love me. That whole two months we were apart must've been killing you." He said putting his hand on her thigh.

"Oh my god." She thought aloud as she smacked his hand away. "I have a boyfriend."

"Oh forget about him. Come on. When I was your man I made you feel good didn't I." He asked putting his hand back.

"Wow Owen thanks for proving his point." She said eying his hand that was getting dangerously close.

"He doesn't love you. But I do. Just let me."

He didn't stop. He ignored her protest. She was thinking of spells to get him off but she was blanking. She was terrified.

"Owen get off me." She said as he tried to take off her shirt.

But he kept going Mary Beth's mind was black and she didn't know hat to do. She felt his hand reach closer and closer until she felt nothing.

His weight was off her. She opened her eyes. She felt liquid on her face. She was crying and she didn't even know. She also didn't know when he laid her down.

Then she heard fighting sounds. She looked to the floor and realized Kai was the one who got Owen off. Kai. Kai. KAI!

"Kai!" She exclaimed.

She rushed over to pull him off. She struggled with it since he was so strong and so damned angry. Owen laid on the floor with a bloody nose and a black eye forming.

"It's okay Kai. Let's just leave."

"Are you okay?" He asked scanning her body for injuries. "That fucking bastard."

"Kai no wait." She said pulling him back.

"He tried to-"

"I know. I know. Just leave it. He'll get his later. If you go over there you'll kill him. Let's just leave." She pleaded.

Kai looked at her with anger and concern in his eyes. He was unbelievably pissed off that this dickhead tried to hurt Mary Beth. But he was also concerned about her and that couldn't be in this house much longer.

His concern and love trumped his anger and he nodded his head. He picked Mary Beth up bridal style and carried her outside.

"I can walk you know." She told him.

"I know."

Kai wasn't going to budge so she just put her head on his chest happy that he was here and that she was safe.
