When Mary Beth returned home it was very late. She just explained her feelings for Kai and realized she was in love with Kai. She also realized she was completely screwed.

She changed out of her onesie and into a tank top and shorts because of how hot it had gotten. She was sitting down reading a book trying to push her feeling for Kai, and Kai in general, out of her mind. When someone whooshed into her room.

"You really shouldn't have your window open like that, it's dangerous." Kai said out of breath.

"Oh my god." She said looking up realizing there was blood on him. "Want the hell Kai? Did you break the rule?"

"No it didn't kill anyone. This is my blood." He replied.

"Geez." She whispered getting up to help her to her bed.

"What happened?" She asked.

"I accidentally pissed off some drunk dude and he had wooden bullets and they just nearly missed. But it's all good don't even worry about it." He explained laying down. "Although there is still some trying to get into my heart."

"Oh my god." She exclaimed again removing his shirt.

Electric sparks went through the both of them when she touched his bare chest. She hesitated before she put a hand inside his chest to try and get the bullet out.

"Are you sure you know what your doing?" He asked after a while.

"Just because YOU have the mental capacity of a three year old, doesn't mean I don't know what I'm doing." She said raising her voice.

"Wow touchy." He said.

"Shut up Kai." She said getting a little angry now. She wasn't exactly mad, she was scared. But still really mad.

How dare he come through her window like this in the middle of the night covered in blood dying like this?

Kai looked over to her. He felt a mix of sadness and anger inside of him. He didn't know why. Maybe it's how she was feeling. He saw the way her eyebrows were scrunched.

She only did that when she was mad or trying to concentrate so he wasn't sure how she felt. Then he felt more upset than mad when the bullet went deeper in his chest.

"Shit." She whispered.

"Okay I'm really starting to feel it now Beth."

She didn't respond instead scrunched her brows even more. Outside a cloud moved and the moonlight shone on her face lighting up her chocolate eyes. He realized in that moment how perfect she was. Absolutely beautiful.

She finally felt the bullet and wrapped her fingers around like her like depended on it. She pulled it out with a small smile on her face. She let out a sigh of relief and put her head down.

She was breathing heavily and she wasn't even involved in the fighting. She threw the bullet to the side not wanting to see it anymore. She looked to his chest to see him finally healing.

She let out another sigh of relief. She was scared that she wasn't going to be able to find it and she would lose him. That is the last thing she needed.

That feeling got worse for Kai and knew he messed up. He brought his hand up to her face so she could look at him. She looked into his eyes and the feeling got worse.

"I'm sorry." He whispered.

"You scared me." She whispered back after a moment.

"I didn't mean to." He said.

Mary Beth used her magic to clean up the dried blood that was on his chest. She laid down next to him putting her head on his chest. He immediately wrapped his arms around her. This was probably one of the best feelings Kai had ever felt. Mary Beth in his arms.

"Stay with me?" She asked.

"Of course." He replied.

It was then he realized he needed to do something. He had a plan. One that could possibly backfire and end terribly. But he had to. This feeling of "love" seemed to be getting worse. Tomorrow he would do it.

He didn't think about it now though. He just thought of having the girl he cared deeply for in his arms.
