"Obviously you want to die otherwise you wouldn't be here." Klaus Mikaelson said as a person he knew as Kai Parker walked through the door.

"I have a proposal for you." He said ignoring Klaus' threat.

"And what's that?" He asked.

"Do what you did to Stefan, to me." Kai stated.

"Excuse me?"

"Take me places and have me kill people. In exchange you return Mary Beth's memory."

"When I did this to Stefan it didn't exactly stick." Klaus said.

"It will for me. I'm a former heartless murderer."

"Wouldn't that take away the satisfaction from my plan. Would you not have fun?" Klaus asked.

"Not after Mary Beth."

"I see. This is for the girl. She changed you. When I bring back her memories and she heard the things you've done she'll be appalled. That works out perfectly doesn't it?" He thought aloud.

"Do we have a deal?" Kai asked.

"Yes. I believe we do."

Mary Beth was unconscious on the couch in the living room of the Salvatore house. Klaus has just restored her memories and put her to sleep. He placed her on the couch and left figuring out what he was going to do with Kai.

Everyone was surrounding her. Kai left a note of his plan and were surprised. They didn't believe he would do that for Mary Beth. He sacrificed his freedom for her to remember him and he wouldn't even be there.

She woke up slowly. Her head was pounding. She got up and opened her eyes surprised to see everyone right there in front of her.

"Mary Beth?" Caroline asked.

"Hey guys." She said rubbing her eyes.

"Do you remember us?" Stefan asked.

"What's going on?"

They explained everything to her. How she hadn't had her memories of them for a week. How it completely tore Kai up, and how left to sacrifice himself for her memories.

"Oh my god. He pulled an "Ariel" for me. That sweet loving bastard." She said when they were done explaining.

"What?" Elena asked.

"Nothing. We have to go look for him."

"We can't Mary Beth. Kai made a promise to Klaus. If we mess it up Klaus will kill him." Elena explained.

"I'm a powerful witch I can do it." She reasoned.

"But-"

"No. I don't care. I don't care if it's impossible. Or if it'll get me killed or if things just end up worse. I'm not just going to give up on him. If it were any of you I'd say the exact same thing. In face I did say the same thing when this happened to Stefan! So who's going to help me?" She exclaimed.

They all looked at each other worryingly. Then they looked to her. She was crazy, but she was right. Mary Beth didn't stop looking for Stefan when he went with Klaus. She was right there by Elena's side.

"Okay. We'll help."

"Cheer up buttercup I've got dinner." Klaus said bringing in a helpless girl he compelled.

Kai didn't say anything as he walked over to him and the girl. He missed Mary Beth and it seemed like this bad gut feeling wasn't going to go away.

"Let her go Malakai. We're not going back. You made a deal." The red headed Brit told him.

"I know that Niklaus." Kai said mockingly. He didn't really appreciate when people called him by his first name.

"Forget about her like she forgot about you. She's out of your brain. Now here eat. Don't need my first sociopath desiccating on me now."

Kai looked to him before looking to the blonde. He felt bad about this but sank his teeth into her neck drinking her blood satisfying Klaus.
