Warning! This has some smut in it (I guess.) Someone requested it, but they wanted to stay anonymous. The smut part is kind of cringe...since I don't write smut and I'm kind of young-

"He wants to...take me on?" Lukas cocked his eyebrow skeptically, and Petra was just as equally quizzled. "You and Aiden. Nobody else interfering." Maya's expression was unreadable, and there was a stoic expression resting on Lukas's face. "But..why?" Lukas shoved his hands into his pockets, the wind biting at his already ice-cold hands. Aiden remained silent. Petra rolls her eyes. "I swear, if it's some dumb bet-" Maya shook his head. "Nah. He has his reasons. Next week; Same time, Bad luck alley." Lukas simply nodded. With that, she turned around, her smallish frame fading out of view. "Jesse's gonna be mad that you said yes." A mischievous grin spread across her face, and Lukas's expression hardened. "I don't want to hear it. From either of you." This time it was his turn to walk away, sauntering through the door, yanking a blanket off of the couch and wrapping it around his shivering body.

He went to the cupboard, grabbing a light orange mug; the handle slightly worn from being used so much. He brewed himself some herbal tea, curling up on the couch will a book, the tea cradled in his hands, steam still emitting from it, indicating it was too hot to drink. By the time Lukas got to page 172 he had to fold in and close the book, resting it on the shelf as he saw Jesse's figure approaching the front door, Jesse emerging a minute later. "You are not fighting." Was the first thing he said as he dropped his bag, as it landed with a thump on the ground. Lukas smirked. "It's a free country." He mumbled under his breath, and Jesse shot him a dirty look, as if a simple expression could say now's not the time. Apparently this message didn't register for Lukas.

"What's the worst that could happen?" Lukas said, resting his feet on the ledge of the couch. "First, get your feet off the couch." Jesse snapped, and Lukas couldn't help but roll his eyes. "Second, you don't know what could happen. He could kill you!" There was a moment of silence, before Lukas spoke. "He's not going to kill me. You're overreacting." Lukas retorted. "Lukas." Jesse said, in a dangerously low voice. "-Remember at sky city? When he pushed you off, with intentions to kill you?" Before Lukas could respond, Jesse continued. "And after that? When he beat the crap out of you?" Lukas pursed his lips together in frustration. "First, he has no reason to kill me. Second, he had a knife, alright?" Lukas got up, undeniable tears threatening to spill over his lashes. "You're going to get yourself hurt. Or killed. He's much bigger then you! Don't you have any common sense?" Jesse practically screamed the last part.

Lukas ran up to his bedroom, tears sliding down his cheeks and soaking through the collar of his sweater. "It's my life!" He shouted, before slamming the door shut.

Anger wilted to sadness.

Sadness wilted to regret.

Lukas sat, feverishly writing in his journal. Jesse hadn't come up since, and Lukas sat alone on his bed, watching the fog creep around ever so slowly. He glanced at the clock. 2:47. Last time he'd stayed up that late was years ago; when he was a mere kid. Oh, the things he did-

"Nerd."

Lukas refrained from rolling his eyes, averting his gaze to Petra.

"Don't you ever sleep?"

"Nocturnal." Petra said, with a lopsided grin. She had a cup of coffee that she took a sip from, then placing the cup on Lukas's dresser. "You're fighting, and that's final." She said, sitting down on his bed. "Gee, thanks for the moral support." Lukas said, but he couldn't resist chuckling. "Jesse will come around. He's just being overprotective of you, that's all. He cares about you." Petra said, trying to be serious. "I know Jesse told you to say that." Lukas muttered. "Damn, you know me too well. Meet me in the backyard at 5." Petra said, grabbing her coffee cup as she lingered out of the room. 5 PM. Plenty of time. "Oh yeah, 5 AM." With that, she closed the door.
