You brought the flames and you put me through hell
I slumped against the wall in defeat, tears blurring my vision as they slid down my cheeks. I rested my head on my knees, every muscle of my body on fire. I looked at my bloodstained wrists, the handcuffs digging into my raw and bloody wrists. And I can't even imagine what the others are going through. Just the thought of them being dead - that's what broke me. This is what being broken is like.
I had to learn how to fight for myself
"Kill. Her." He repeated, as if I were a little child. "No." I said, feeling my muscles tighten up in anticipation of whatever consequences were in store for me. "Never!" I screeched, lunging forward and wrapping my hands around his unarmoured neck. Days of being isolated; locked up and neglected had taken its toll, he wrestled me off of him like I weighed no more than a puppy, bringing his foot to my ribs, kicking it hard. It knocked the wind out of me, and I clutched my side, feeling my knees buckle as I went down, hard.
And we both know all the truth I could tell
"Jesse...we both know this won't work out." She said, her face contorting in pain. No. She was leaving me; again. There would be nothing left for me. What do I do when I want to be with the only person I love? Yet they're leaving and I couldn't possibly go with them. I'd never see her again. What if she died? The questions spiraled their way to the back of my mind, haunting my sanity, but I forced a fake smile out. "If you think your place is out there - then you can leave." I croaked, the sentence sounding awful and unnatural.
I'll just say this is I wish you farewell.
I looked at him; the sad sight of him lying on the floor, probably having many, many regrets. "What do we do with him?" She asked. This was an easy decision. I turned around, grabbing her wrist. "We need to leave. Now. Let him die, it's a sweet escape for him."
I hope your somewhere praying,
I should go with her. But I need to stay. Do I go with her? Or stay with the whole town that depends on me? God, none of this should be a decision I need to make.
I hope your soul is changing,
Just thinking about him made me sick.
I hope you find your peace,
Falling on your knees - praying
