"...A star walk?"
"Trust me." Jesse said, a grin playing on his lips as he grabbed a flashlight, his other hand wrapping around Lukas's wrist. "Bring a blanket too." He said, and Lukas tucked a blanket under his arm as he followed Jesse.
It was so quiet, peaceful, the chorus of crickets emitting a relaxing vibe. Jesse led Lukas to a calm spot on top of a hill. He took the blanket, sprawling it out on the grass, motioning for Lukas to sit as he sat down.
"..Now what?"
"You turn off your flashlight."
Lukas followed, clicking off his flashlight. He gasped when he looked around, it was as if they had been engulfed in darkness.
"And now look up at the sky."
Lukas's gaze met the night sky, and he was at a loss of words for once. The sky was littered with beautiful, twinkling stars. The moon was full, possessing an eerie glow. "Wow." Lukas muttered. Jesse shifted into a comfortable position, wrapping his arms around Lukas's neck. Lukas rested his head he nook of Jesse's chest; his legs resting on Jesse's lap.
"See, in this world, there are plenty of beautiful things."
