CHAPTER XVIII CRAZILY IN LOVE

[CRAZILY IN LOVE]

SAMUEL'S POV

We hopped inside my truck. She looked at me with her sweetest smile.

"Hey, Sam! titingnan mo na lang ba ako?"

Nagulat ako. I was a bit confused and didn't know what I should do.

She laughed.

'Ha ha ha! Anong nangyayari sa'yo? Just drive!'

'Huh? Magro-roadtrip tayo?'

She looked at me laughing.

'Why not? Bilis na!'

'Seryoso? Roadtrip talaga, in the middle of the night?'

Tawa lang siya ng tawa. She's really weird... well, I liked that.

And because she was too excited, I turned the key and we drove until we reached somewhere... we've been to a far, far away place and it seemed that it was just the two of us who existed.

Kita ang buong Baguio from where we were. Mas maganda ang place na ‘to than the spot kung saan ako nag-propose sa kanya.

The wind blew colder now. Kahit na suot na niya ang jacket ko, I know nilalamig pa rin siya. 

I was staring at her while she was trying to warm herself, when suddenly she screamed on the top of her lungs as loud as she could, as if letting all her emotions out.

I rushed to her and held her face.

‘Babe, are you fine? What’s happening?’

She looked at me for a couple of seconds, gasping for her breath… and then she laughed again. I was confused of what was going on. I hugged her tightly.

‘Babe, hindi ako makahinga! Hahaha!’

I did not let go of her.

‘Bakit ka ba kasi sumigaw bigla? Nababaliw ka na ba?’

She hugged me back.

‘Pag nabaliw ba ako iiwan mo ako? Kakalimutan mo bang nagkakilala tayo?’

She was serious sa tanong niya. And so, I seriously answered her:

‘I won’t do that. You’re hard to forget. At hindi kita iiwan; hangga’t mahal mo ako, mamahalin kita…’

She took off her hands from me at tiningnan niya ako.

‘Babe, may aaminin ako. May naaalala na ako…'

I held my breath. Kinabahan ako. Then she continued...

'... naalala ko na baliw ako... baliw na baliw sa’yo!’

Then, she squeezed my arms with all her might, and I started tickling her. Akala ko talaga may naaalala na siya… akala ko totoo, akala ko magkakahiwalay na kami. Hahaha!

We spend the whole time lying on the trunk of my car, hugging each other so we might not freeze because of cold, painting pictures in the sky, counting every firefly that we could see, talking and laughing about nothing at all. It was one wonderful and amazing night... with a weird and amazing girl.; until we fell asleep.

Nagising na lang kami ng maramdaman naming may dalawang police who were trying  to wake us up and told us na ipinagbabawal ang pag-park sa gilid ng highway lalo pa’t nakatulog kami.

It was embarrassing yet very funny experience. We hurriedly hopped in to the car and mabilis na umalis. We were laughing while we drive. Now, we didn’t know kung nasaan na kami. Mukhang naligaw pa yata kami. 

While we were laughing all along, she became a bit serious and told me:

‘I will never forget this crazy experience I had with you,Babe… I will never forget every single moment…’

I brushed away her hair that was covering her face.

'Ako rin, Babe,never will I forget you.’

Then, I kissed her.
