Levi stared at me with wide eyes once the phonecall was over.
"I win, Levi." I grinned expectantly. "So what do I get for winning? I was totally kidding about the money, by the way." I asked, grinning happily, ecstatic to have our daughter with me and a weight off of Levi's shoulders. Levi raised an eyebrow, his entire expression switching again.
"Eren, I'm gonna give you a lot of things. My roommate doesn't come back for another six hours. I thought I could keep a handle on it, Eren. Be a gentleman and all that, but the fact of the matter is that I am still intoxicated, and you've only gotten hotter, Eren." My insides were a puddle, butterflies flapping around excitedly, ecstatic at the offer of relief.
"Are you saying what I think you're saying?" I asked, smiling a crooked smile at him.
"Depends on what you think I'm saying," Levi purred, pushing me back onto his bed and meeting our mouths aggressively. "I'll give you a hint. We're not going to church." He used his cast to prop himself up while his free hand gently touched my jaw.
"Dang it!" I said in feigned despair, meeting our lips again and hooking a leg around his hips. "I was really looking forward to my Bible studies."
"I can give you plenty of reasons to pray." The sound of his voice vibrated through my entire body, leaving me completely unhinged. He leaned further down, his lips connecting with mine like he had only done the first time we kissed. There was a gentle urgency in his lips that drove me crazy as his tongue grazed my bottom lip. I sat up and granted him access to my mouth. Letting his tongue grow accustomed to my mouth again, I noticed something different rubbing against the roof of my mouth. Levi looked at me with questioning eyes when I pulled back.
"Did you pierce your tongue again?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah," he nodded, sticking his tongue out to reveal a smooth black ball resting in the center of his tongue.
"Hot." I had always liked the look of tongue piercings.
"You have no idea what I can do to you with this," he hummed, almost threateningly, while his breath ghosted the space beneath my ear.
"Jesus," I gasped. Instantly his mouth was on mine again, slowly lowering his sharp hips onto me as well, grinding them against mine.
"Oh, shit," he muttered, pulling back for a moment. "Kay, Eren. So this isn't an alcoholic thing. I just have a really shitty headache coming on and probably a shot and a half in the bottle under my pillow. If I do the shot we won't have to worry about my hangover for a while. I won't get drunker. I'll just kinda level out."
I kissed him once more, leaning further up into it as he rested on my lap. "Levi," I gently reprimanded. "You can't drink. I'm here now."
"Baby, I know. I just don't want to start feeling like hell while I'm trying to, uh, yeah. I swear on Poppy that it'll be the last one I ever take. I'll start going to AA again. Please," he begged.
I sighed, meeting our lips again quickly before pulling back and nodding. I could see the logic, so I resigned. "Fine. Take the shots. But you better keep your promise, Levi. You and I both have issues with drinking. And we're both better off never touching another drop for the rest of our lives."
Levi nodded, reaching behind me and pulling a small, mostly empty bottle of Grey Goose out from behind his pillow, swirling the clear liquid around by the neck. "I'm sorry, Eren." I could see the remorse written plainly across his face.
"I know you are," I nodded, squeezing his hand.
"Wanna pass it to me?" He asked, offering me the bottle with a cocked eyebrow.
