little!jeongin + chan
caregiver!minho~*~
Glancing up at the clock, Minho's brows creased in worry when he noticed how late it was. He then looked down at Jeongin in his arms, and was surprised at how the boy was still as awake as he was.
Normally, Jeongin was the first one asleep and the first one awake, but recently he'd been staying up later than he usually would. Minho knew it was because the youngest missed Chan, but sometimes the leader's absence couldn't be helped. Especially now, when he was busy with preparing for the new comeback in a few week's time, no one really saw much of him anymore.
Jeongin understood - of course he did - which was why he always tried to be on his best behaviour whenever Chan was around. The youngest was secretly hoping Chan would let himself slip, since Jeongin rarely ever got the chance to be like an older brother to him, but Chan was too stubborn and kind of embarrassed to be little around anyone but Minho, since he was supposed to be the tough leader who could handle anything.
This was why Jeongin was staying up late with Minho. He wanted so badly for Chan to be little so that he could try and help Minho look after him, despite being little himself. The difference between Chan and Jeongin (as littles) was that Jeongin's mental age was bigger than Chan's. Where Jeongin would talk and sometimes walk around in his little space, Chan would rarely utter a word and preferred to crawl around instead of walk.
Jeongin wasn't sure if it was selfish or not to want to see Chan in little space, as it was only something the leader did when he was extremely stressed - which Jeongin didn't want. Yet, he wanted to be a good dongsaeng and a good friend to Chan, and he didn't intend on sleeping until Chan got home.
Minho sighed and leaned down to press a kiss to Jeongin's temple, causing the boy to look up at his caregiver.
"Baby, it's late," the elder spoke softly, and Jeongin shifted so he could take his dummy out.
"I know, Daddy, but I wan' to hewp Channie," he replied, and Minho felt his heart melt at how sweet his baby was.
"I'm sure he'll appreciate this very much, baby boy," Minho said, making Jeongin smile before he cuddled him close to his side again.
Whatever was on the TV wasn't interesting for Minho, but Jeongin seemed to be enjoying it, and whatever Jeongin liked Minho liked.
They laid there on the couch for a good twenty minutes before Minho heard the door open from behind them. He turned his head round to see Chan traipsing through the door and he let himself smile at him warmly.
"Hey," he said softly, and Jeongin looked up when he heard his caregiver's voice.
"Oh, hi," Chan replied, clearly surprised to see Minho and Jeongin still awake. "Hi, sweetheart."
Jeongin waved at Chan innocently, and the leader sighed as he dropped his bag next to the door.
"Chan," Minho said, his voice taking on a sort of warning tone, and Chan immediately knew what that meant. "Come here, baby."
"Min, please don't-" the blonde started, looking over at Jeongin, who was sitting at Minho's side silently. "Not in front of Jeongin."
"Baby, he just wants to help, don't you 'Innie?" Minho asked, and Jeongin nodded. "You're stressed, Chan, and we agreed that when you're stressed you would be little. Jeongin understands and he really wants to help look after you. Please, baby?"
Chan wrung his hands nervously in front of him, and Minho lightly tapped Jeongin's bottom as a way of telling him to sit up for a minute.
"Channie, baby, come here," the dancer said softly, and Chan did as he was told. "Good boy, baby. Who's Minnie's good boy?"
"I-I am..." Chan replied, and Jeongin lightly tugged on Chan's sleeve to get him to sit down with him.
Chan sat down in between Minho and Jeongin and he looked over at the youngest, noticing the dummy in his mouth. He made a noise of distress, and Minho looked over Chan's shoulder to see what he was upset about.
"You want a dummy, baby?" He asked, and Chan nodded.
"Daddy, Binnie-hyung and Fewix-hyung are sweeping," Jeongin reminded his caregiver, and Minho sighed. He always knew it probably wasn't the best idea to leave the dummies in his, Changbin's and Felix's room but he knew no one would dare go snooping around his side of the room.
Chan looked like he was ready to cry, and Jeongin gasped as an idea struck him. Removing the dummy from his mouth, Jeongin handed it to Chan, who took it hesitantly.
"Aww, isn't 'Innie sweet?" Minho asked, and Chan nodded. "Let me wash this for you first, baby boy."
Minho stood up from the couch and gently took the dummy from Chan's hands, pressing a kiss to both of his babies' foreheads before moving to the kitchen to wash the comfort item. While he was gone, Jeongin and Chan sat there in silence, until Jeongin tapped Chan on the shoulder.
"Does Channie wan' cuddwes?" He asked, and Chan nodded hesitantly.
Jeongin opened his arms out for Chan, and the leader let himself fall into the youngest's chest. By the time Minho got back from the kitchen which wasn't even two minutes ago, his heart melted when he saw his two littles curled up on the couch together, fast asleep.
He gently slotted the dummy between Chan's lips and ran a hand through Jeongin's red hair before taking a seat on the armchair next to the couch. Minho figured the two of them needed this time together, as Jeongin was really wanting to help Chan recently, so he just let them cuddle next to him, soon finding himself falling asleep on the armchair.
