minho rings up the college and things get a little messy before they get sorted out for good

Sitting down at the dining room table, Minho pressed the phone to his ear as he smiled at Felix walking in.

"Hi, doll," he whispered. "Mummy's just calling the college so- oh, hello? Yes, hi."

Felix visibly shuddered at how Minho's tone changed from sweet to firm. Even though he knew Minho would never hurt him, Felix would still never want to be on the receiving end of that tone.

"I'm calling on behalf of my boyfriend, Lee Felix," he started. "I'm Lee Minho - I graduated from there a few months ago. Felix came home from his art class last night and his clothes had been ripped and destroyed and his hair had been pulled. He told me some boys cornered him and physically assaulted him on campus. Uh, let me see."

Minho covered the mic of his phone with his palm and turned to Felix, who was sitting on the couch in the living room watching TV.

"Felix, baby, do you know who any of the boys were?" He asked gently, and Felix looked up and over at his boyfriend.

"Donghyun was there," Felix answered, wringing his hands nervously in front of him. "But I don't remember any of the other ones. Kang Donghyun."

Minho smiled before uncovering the mic. "He remembers someone called Kang Donghyun being there but he doesn't remember the other ones. Yeah. Yeah, we can do that. Thank you. Bye."

Minho hung up with finality and stood up with a curt sigh, smiling at Felix nonetheless.

"Mummy ok?" Felix asked, slipping into his headspace.

"Mummy's just very annoyed, angel," Minho answered, sitting on the couch next to Felix before lifting the boy up into his lap. "What those boys did to you was a crime, not petty play fighting. They physically assaulted my baby, and all the college wants to do is have a meeting with us later to clarify what happened. I should've called the police."

Felix couldn't remember a time he saw Minho this annoyed, and it was all because of him. If he wasn't so stupid wearing that girly skirt then this wouldn't have happened. Wringing his fingers again, he sucked in a shaky breath, almost breaking his fingers from how hard he was twisting them. And he would've if it weren't for Minho placing a hand over his small ones.

"Calm, baby, deep breaths," he cooed. "What's on your mind, pretty baby?"

"'S my fault, Mummy," Felix said quietly. "If I didn't wear the skirt, then Mummy wouldn't be so angwy..."

"No, no, beautiful," Minho shook his head. "You should be able to wear whatever you want whenever you want without being afraid. They're allowed to express themselves so why can't my angel express himself, hm?"

Felix didn't answer and Minho expected him not to. The question was rhetorical, after all.

"Chin up, baby," he said softly, tipping Minho's chin up with his forefinger. "We'll get this sorted later, ok?"

Despite being extremely hesitant about this whole thing, Felix nodded.

Holding Minho's hand tightly, him and Felix entered the college's reception building. Felix had only been there three times in his college lift to collect his keys for each year.

"Hi, I'm Lee Minho," Minho introduced to the receptionist. "I'm here with Lee Felix for a meeting about some bullying going on here."

The receptionist tapped away on his keyboard before looking up at Minho.

"Mr. Park will be here shortly. Please take a seat," he instructed, gesturing to the seats in the lounge.

"Thank you," Minho said before leading Felix over to the seats. "You want to sit on Mummy's lap, angel?"

Felix shook his head, instead opting for the seat next to Minho's. Minho understood that Felix wanted to be careful on campus, but that didn't mean he still wouldn't propose the idea to Felix.

They sat for a few minutes until a wrinkly man in a suit too big for him emerged from the corner, smiling like a plastic doll.

"Mr. Lee?" He asked, and Minho smiled.

"That's both of us," he joked, standing up with his hand in Felix's. "I'm Minho, Felix's boyfriend."

"Very well," Mr. Park nodded. "Let's chat."

Mr. Park led Minho and Felix to his office, a small and stuffy room with borderline peeling wallpaper and grime on the windows.

"What can I do for you today?" He asked politely, resting his arms on the desk in front of him.

"Felix came home yesterday really upset," Minho started. "He came in wearing a skirt he bought and some boys cornered him and attacked him on his way back through campus. There was a Kang Donghyun, I think Felix said."

Felix nodded in confirmation, gnawing on the inside of his cheek nervously.

"Well, I'm sorry to hear that, Felix," Mr. Park said sympathetically, but something about his tone sounded patronising. "But if you chose to dress that way, then there's nothing much we can do about it, I'm afraid."

Minho couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"What?" He hissed. "You're seriously going to blame Felix for something that wasn't his fault? Those boys who assaulted him are the ones in the wrong, not Felix!"

"I can't help if Felix wants to dress like a girl," Mr. Park shrugged. "He should've thought of the consequences before wearing a skirt in public."

Oh, Minho was pissed. He couldn't remember a time he had been this angry with someone, and Felix noticed.

"Hyung, I wanna go home," he whispered, tugging on Minho's hand that was still holding his.

"I can't believe you're pinning the blame on Felix! It's the 21st century! People should be able to express themselves however they want and not get shit for it!" Minho yelled.

"I completely agree with you, Mr. Lee," Mr. Park nodded, still wearing that stupid plastic smile. "But Felix should be able to deal with the consequences if there were to be any - which there were."

"He was attacked!" Minho yelled. "Physically assaulted by your students! Are you not going to do anything about that?"

Felix looked down at his lap in shame, feeling so embarrassed that he had done this to Minho and himself.

"There's not much I can do unless Felix changes what he decides to wear to class," Mr. Park replied, tone becoming curt. "Now, I would like to ask you to leave my office."

Minho stood up with a scoff. "Gladly, asshole."

And just like that, him and Felix left, Minho making sure he slammed the door behind him. Felix was silent the whole walk home, and Minho had his jaw clenched in anger the whole time. But when they got home, the younger decided to test his luck.

"D-Does Mummy want me to teach him another dance?" He asked nervously, and Minho tried to smile reassuringly at him.

"Not right now, angel, but definitely later, ok?" He replied and Felix nodded sadly.

"Is Mummy ok?" He asked after a few seconds of silence, and Minho sighed.

"Not really, love," he answered. "I can't believe they're not going to do anything about what happened to you."

"I don't mind, Mummy," Felix said honestly. "I-I weally don't! Pwetty cwothes are for Mummy anyway, not for everyone else to see."

Minho smiled with a small chuckle at that, opening his arms for Felix to hug him.

"And you look the prettiest for Mummy always, baby girl."
