Why is it so windy here. Every time we come here the wind gusts every which way. I don't like it. Not at all. Little one is getting all worked up again. Last time she got this worked up it didn't work out very well.
"Keep Calm."
I know she still can't hear me. It's better to try I think though. I can feel the goosebumps on her neck. I need to find a way to keep her calm. Maybe she needs my warmth.
"That's when he saw me last time I'm sure of it."
"Your probably right." No reaction. Every time I think we are getting somewhere she doesn't react. Oh well, what can I do?
"Back to business."
Her laughter, even just a chuckle like this warms me. I need to help her get this done so she can finally have an answer. I just don't know how to. I think she is ready, I hope she is.
We are moving in. I must keep her safe. This is a fine spot to hide little one. A bit dusty, but that doesn't matter. What matters is we can't be seen, and I can keep you warm. For now, this is all I can do. The little one knows how to use me to the best of her abilities. We have trained together for many years. We go as far back as either of us can remember. At least that is what she has told that old cat.
Nice move little one this is a great place to be. As long as they don't look over here we'll be fine. No one will see your beautiful hair. I will cover you. I will protect you.
CRASH
What was that? Good, she is safe. Wait little one be careful. Little one. Little one.
A pulse fires from deep within. A nova of pain and power flushes through every thread. Warmth that I have never felt before. I feel her panic. I feel her fear. I must keep her safe. I must.
"Little one!"
