"Fa! Where are you!" Rain frantically swam over to the water that was rippling. Quickly she dove down in the water, Luna was right behind her. Storm had already made it out of the water. He barked frantically at the edge of the water. Rain saw through the water with what little light Luna could provide. In front of her was Fa, and wrapped around her leg was a large tentacle. The girl grabbed Fas outreached hand, but with all of her, might she couldn't pull her free off whatever had her. With no other choice, Rain had to surface for some air. Catching what breath she could she dove back in after Fa. Luna was still struggling with the tentacle wrapped around Fa's leg. Rain caught up with the two of them. Without asking the cloak turned into its claw form. Without a moment's hesitation, the girl slashed through the tentacle. Quickly the three swam up to the surface of the water, all of them nearly out of breath.
"Quick. Over there." Rain got out between deep breaths. They swam as fast as their bodies would let them. Luna and Fa were the first to reach the stones that edged the water. They both held out a hand to help Rain onto the stones. Just as her hands came in contact with the two women she felt something wrap around her leg. Before she could even gasp she was yanked back under the water. She frantically felt around her leg. It only took a second for the claw to slice through the rubbery substance wrapped around her leg. Just before rushing to the surface she caught sight of what was attacking them. Deep in the water floated a gigantic squid, its two eyes glowed in the pitch-black darkness that surrounded it. She finally arrived at the surface of the water. Before she could even catch a single breath she started swimming all out to the stones. Storms anxiety-filled barks echoed through the cavern. When she reached the stones once again she didn't wait for help. She instantly started to pull herself out of the water. The woman didn't hesitate to help her at all. As rain rolled onto the stone surface the water behind exploded, splashing everywhere and revealing to the others the beast Rain saw moments before. In a flash it resubmerged its body leaving only the beasts tentacles exposed. They grasped and slammed anything in their way. If it got ahold of anything it would squeeze it tight before throwing it.
"What is that thing!?" Fa shouted.
"Our next fight it seems." Luna held in her hands two orbs of light, waiting for a tentacle to get close to it. The first to get a taste of the fight this time was Storm. One of the large tentacles smashed next to Rain only for the svern to lash at it leaving a large gash as well as making the end of it near useless. Bloodshot out of the tentacle covering all of them as it flailed about.
"Quickly we need to cut as many as we can! Maybe it will bleed out that way!" Fa was already swinging about her daggers as she tried to cut the tentacle closest to her. It was a fantastic idea. Luna chanted for a moment then pulled from her chest a long blade. The tip of the blade was a diamond shape that was wider than the rest of the blade. the bottom of the diamond stopped before closing completely and moved the rest of the way to a crescent-shaped guard. The guard was flat where the hand met it but the side of the guard facing the rest of the blade was sharpened. It was a blade-like none that Rain had ever seen. The one hundred and ten-centimeter blade was made of glowing metal. The dull white glow provided almost no light. With a twirl, Luna sliced the approaching tentacle clean off in one swipe of her blade. Blood burst forth from the severed limb instantly. The stone they stood on had become very slippery. It wasn't long before the party had removed all but one of the beasts limbs. The final tentacle disappeared back into the water. Gathering all of the meat they had freshly collected the troop moved away from the water.
"If this is what I think is we should be in luck." Fa had created another whisp before the girl had even had time to notice. She took a hunk of the tentacle and pressed her blade through it. Putting it over the whisp she made, she slowly roasted the hunk of flesh. After close to five minutes she bit into it. The look on her face was pure bliss. "This stuff is super rare and super expensive. I bet if we are careful we can get some of this to the surface and sell it to a village or something. That will help us buy info from people on how to get to Ordik." The girl started to pile the parts of the tentacle she could find in one spot.
"We need to find a way out of here and soon." Rain mentioned as she looked for the bits of flesh.
"I agree," Luna spoke as she looked with her orb of light at a wall she came to. Her sword was already gone. Rain wanted to know more about it but didn't think it was the right time, they had more important things to worry about. It was then that dread hit Rain. Looking around she noticed something was missing, Storm.
