Torikk and the girl in the cloak sat at the river with their feet in the water.
"I know Fa-Lees is worried about me, but I want to hurt these people. They could have killed you and her. We have to make them know not to mess with us ever again." Torikk had a level of anger in his eyes the girl had never seen before. Before Torikk continued he looked at over the girl. She was wearing the same clothes that she had worn on the day of his wedding. "You look so beautiful little kitten, but why not get rid of that old cloak I'm sure Fa and I could get you a new one." The girl grabbed her cloak tight and wrapping it around herself and shook her head.
"No thank you. This cloak is very important to me." As she finished she felt a warmth come through the cloak. It was not the usual type of warmth. If she didn't know any better she would have said that the cloak was blushing.
"Very well little kitten." He was smiling at her again. She had noticed that he had become more openly happy even with all this horribleness with the tree. "These people I know who they are but not where they are. Do you think you can find them." The girl only nodded. "Good, then we will go get them." Torikk proceeded to describe the group of people they were looking for. The girl was ready and with a hug, she left for the closest town.
The girl in the cloak spent her days taking care of Torikk in the forest while Fa did some things off on her own, and her nights in the city searching for the men who destroyed Torikks home. Surprisingly it was not hard this time. The leader of the gang fancied himself a big boss and wanted everyone to know how important he was. He went around flaunting his wealth, buying things for random hard off citizens. Giving food to the homeless and even giving the homeless places to sleep. But the girl found another side of him while following his daily routine. If someone so much as questioned him he had them beaten. Those that refused him we're just killed off. If you angered him he would have you tortured first. The girl knew he was a dangerous man. That made it all the more important to kill him. Then he would never hurt another soul, like Torikk.
The girl in the cloak and Torikik disgusted for several nights their new plans. At the end of it, Torikk decided he wanted to "make his home crumble." And as such the plan was made. The girl in the cloak would start to sabotage the boss's jobs however she could. Doing the best to keep innocents out if it was going to be the hard part. The girl made her plan while looking over a map of the city provided by Torikk. At the same time, Torikk informed Fa of the plan. He didn't want her to be part of it but the only person he trusted more than the girl was Fa. To the girl's surprise, it didn't take any convincing at all for Fa. All it took was a promise if things got out of hand the three of them left this area altogether. Torikk agreed.
The nights went by fast. The plans they were making were so intricate that each member had to have hyperfocus to pull them off, and they did. Within a week the makeshift family had stolen two hundred thousand coins from the boss's different "stores". The boss let his displeasure be known fast. A poster was nailed up in town square promising five hundred coins for the person responsible.
"He has no clue it's more than one." The girl whispered to the cloak.
"That's great little one but don't let it get to you. You can not lose focus." The girl knew the cloak was right but still found herself wanting to celebrate. Pulling a coin from a pouch she crossed the eye on the front of it. The coins had an eye on the front and a cross on the back. They were the way the High King sent a message to his people. They were always being watched. At least that was the legend. The girl figured since no one had seen them crossing out the eye would send a strong message. She flipped the coin. It landed right below the board and no one even tried to grab it. When they looked back to where the girl was, She was gone.
