The storm following Rain had dissipated. The clouds were still around, but no rain or lightning. The night before's events with Storm were mind-altering for her. She had a new sense of completeness in her system. Storm stayed by her side for the rest of that day, and the following few weeks. It was a big event to just get Storm to hunt on his own. The girl would go hunting in the evenings with Storm. It was a good chance to practice her skills with the cloak. She had developed the ability to blend in with shadows completely using it. Unless the creature's nose was touching her they couldn't even smell her. The time with Storm made her excel greatly in her skills. Storm was even improving. Something about that night had blessed them with some kind of gift. The two had started to surpass their training levels in stride.

The girl decided it was time again to try and open a portal. She started meditating by Storm. She could feel every part of her body release tension. Her mind now dreaming of better days to come. A time after her mission to kill her father was complete. Before she knew it a large portal had opened in front of her.

"Rain! Did you do this." Rain opened her eyes to see the portal and was taken by shock. Fa was standing behind the portal, looking into it. "I think this is the Horric realm little kitten." Luna stood up and walked towards it, not slowing her pace as she got to it.

"Let's go through it now." Without missing a step Luna passed through. Fa was soon behind. Only Rain and Storm were left behind. Whistling the girl walked through the portal with Storm right on her heels. As they passed through the portal closed behind them. The red light beat down on them. They had made it to the Horric lands but had no idea where they were in the lands.

"I do not have any power over the moon in this land. It is a replica of ours that is all." Luna for the first time seemed slightly worried. "I might have been able to find our way if I had power over it."

"It will be fine," Fa responded kindly. "I have been here longer than I would care to have ever been. If we can find some form of society I will be able to find our way." Rain only listened. Holding that portal open for that amount of time while people passed through it had taken much energy from her. She was just about to rest when she felt something. Something coming from Storm. Looking back at the svern she saw his fur lifted his back.

"What is it, boy." Rain closed her eyes and let the feeling she was receiving from Storm take over her. Something was close but she couldn't figure out where.

"Move!" Fa shouted just in time. A large number of tiny bugs spewed out of the sand by her feet. She took off running. The others followed her. She was moving as fast as she could. Behind them, a swarm of thousands of spinnerets chased after them.

"No matter what they are, if there are that many they can kill all of us. We wouldn't stand a chance." Luna shouted as they ran. "We need to find stones to get on. Maybe that would help."

"No! Water! We must find a river!" Fa was frantic at this point.

"Where do we find water in the desert?" Rain was beyond confused. Just how would they come across a river in this large of a desert.

"Storm! Find us Water!" Fa shouted. As soon as she did Storm took off to the right. He was running straight at a sheer cliff. The entire party went silent to conserve energy as they ran. Rain let the link between her and Storm take over her senses. She could smell something, something like vegetation. That was it! Storm was taking them to somewhere vegetation grew, and if there was vegetation there had to be water. Just then in front of them one of the rocks in the distance seemed to become two rocks. That was it that was the spot. The group followed Storm into the hole between the rocks. It instantly went at a downward angle. Behind them the spinnerets still chased. With one weightless step, the girl felt her body drop. They had fallen into a hole. Weightless for only a few seconds she panicked until each of the party members splashed loudly into an underground lake. The spinnerets swarmed around the walls. Luna and Fa both recited phrases until two small floating balls of light appeared in front of them. The girl recognized Fas as a whisp but couldn't place what Lunas was. The walls were covered in the small Horric insects. Yet not one went touched the water. They all soon fled back through the hole the group had fallen through. They were now safe. At least so they hoped.
