A large dust storm raged. The brown cloud of the desert sand beat against anything it came in contact with. The combination of the two was enough to make even the thickest of skin bleed. A man ran frantically through the storm.
"That crazy bitch won't find me here. No way they would come in here. Yeah, this is safe. Yeah." The man's face was dripping with blood as he ran through the sand. His frantic ramblings soon came to an abrupt stop as he ran into the exact thing he was avoiding. The object he ran into didn't budge. He bounced off of it hitting the ground and started to scramble as he looked up seeing the thing that was causing him such fear. The only thing he could see was a floating, changing light. The pink and purples and greens that came through the dust would normally be profoundly beautiful, but to him, in this exact moment, it was worse than seeing a raging flame. The floating glow hovered over him for a second and then he felt a piercing sensation through his chest. The air escaped him as he looked at the light in his last few seconds. His blood turned the sand around him into a muddy substance as it soaked in deep.
It had been two and a half months since the girl in the cloak and the cloak discovered this engulfing form. The power was tremendous, but it had come at a price. Just after she woke up in camp with Fa she had started to notice Fa acting strangely. She started to press her for what was wrong and after a bit of pushing her Fa came out with the truth. One of the soldiers and caught her in her abdomen in the storming of the castle. The wound wasn't much at the time, but as she watched over the girl she forgot to take care of it. As a result, the wound had become infected. When the girl in the cloak saw the wound it had red veins running out from the puncture wound. The girl decided to return the favor to Fa. She felt close to her and knew she could not have gotten as far as she had without the help of Fa. Fa needed medical supplies, herbs, and other plants to help with the healing process. It didn't surprise the girl that Fa knew how to do this kind of healing either. It seemed to the girl that Fa had at least a general knowledge about almost everything. The problem was the herbs were expensive. They used the last of their money on the first batch of medicinal putty. It was lathered around and even into the wound. But Fa knew after two nights that they would need more. With no money at the time, the girl decided to take jobs from the local town. Hunting bounties turned out the best way to make money. The coin amount directly related to the danger level of the target in question.
"This could be a bad idea. Why not look for some type of easier job?" Fa was extremely worried.
"I know that I have never done a bounty on my own, but I think I can handle this. I will only take low ranked ones. We need the money and I can do this." the girl felt strongly about her stance on this. It was time, in her eyes, to pay Fa back for all she had helped her through. As a bonus, it would give the girl and the cloak a chance to practice the engulfed form. The girl was positive that she would need mastery over it the next time she came across that Horric from before and his "pet" mad Horric as well. The two had proven tough opponents to face. The first few bounties they went after had been so easy they didn't try the engulfed form. But after some time they had started using it every bounty. They had reached a point where the girl could stay conscientious for fine minutes. It wasn't long they knew that but it was surprisingly a lot of time when in the engulfed form. They were able to get so much done with their combined speed and strength. This job was just as easy for them, but the girl was not satisfied.
"We will need more than five minutes to take out the Horric. He is just too strong for us. What can we do."
"We simply train more. We push it as much as we can. I will tell you know. I don't like it at all. Your safety comes first Why not ask Fa for help."
"Because I can't be the reason Fa gets hurt again!" the girl hadn't realized she was speaking aloud.
"You are not the reason why I got hurt, Little Kitten." The calm voice of Fa surprised the girl. "What is going on little kitten?" The girl started to explain her plan and what she had been doing with the cloak since working by herself. Fa seemed oddly excited. "I think I can help you with that"
