The day had finally come. The party had found their way just outside of the castle. It had been a long time since the girl in the cloak and Fa-lees were standing in front of the towering door. Rain kept her cloak tight around her head.

"Are you sure you are ready for this little one?" The cloak could feel the anxiety flowing through the girl's veins. The fear emitting from the Horric Princes castle was palpable.

"Something is different. Can you feel that?" She spoke through the echoes. Luna looked over towards her, Rain had forgotten her mother could hear the echoes as well and gave her a questioning look. She didn't need to voice the question, Rain knew what it was immediately. "I can't seem to pinpoint it, mother." She paused for a moment, but just as she was opening her mouth again to speak she was grabbed. She screamed out in fear. The sword she had made fell out of the makeshift sheath she created as she was pulled away. After a few feet her she went for her dagger, looking down at her ankle she saw what was grabbing her. It was a large muscular tentacle grabbing her leg so tightly it was going numb. She went to sever the limb when a second flew out from the unnatural darkness and slapped it away from her. Rain went for her new sword and found it was missing. It had fallen out of her makeshift sheath before she knew it. It was just her and her cloak now.she could feel the cloak suffering as it got caught and tugged on random sticks and stones. The fabric was unique and resisted being torn, but the pain still affected them.

"Little one! You must calm down!" The cloak couldn't seem to reach the girl, fear had taken over her consciousness. A second voice followed quickly.

"Rain," it was calm and soothing, "You need to calm down. Tell me where you are. Fa and I will come for you if you can do that." Luna was speaking through the echoes again. The cloak did what it could to make sure Rain heard these words, repeating them over and over until they finally took. Luna's words began to calm the girl.

"All I can see is darkness. It's cold and wet."

"We are following a trail you made while being drug. We will be there as soon as possible." With that, the link was cut off.

The girl soon noticed how hard the ground had become. She put together that it was most likely a cave she was in. she could still feel the grabbing tentacle around her ankle.

"Can you take the claw form? We need to get out of here." The cloak said nothing, it only transformed. The instant it did the girl was lifted into the air. She felt blood rushing to her head. Panicking she slashed the tentacle holding her. She fell to the ground, tucking into a ball as she did. She landed flush on her side. The rush of pain coursed through her body as rolled in agony. Looking up she saw the last thing she expected. Her uncle, the Horric Prince of the abyss.

"I told you you were mine. I will make you suffer." Rain scrambled back. The blood poured from the hideous prince's mutilated tentacle all over the place. As the limb continued to wave it only pumped more blood out around everything. The blue substance felt slimy and stuck to whatever it landed on. Assuming her fighting stance just in time, the Prince charged at the girl. The only source of light was the Prince's own Bioluminescence. His power was beyond overpowering. She called out to Luna through the echoes but got nothing in return. Something was different when she tried this time. All she could hear was her cloak. Her cloak that didn't seem nearly as nervous as she did.

"Little one, Trust me. Run into the cave." She hesitated for only a moment. Long enough for a tentacle to barely miss her head and break a stalactite. With the crushing sound of the sharp object collapsing to the ground took off, running deeper into the darkness.
