A storm crashed in the skies. A week had passed since her last time opening the portal. Rain had run into a serious problem. Inner peace was hard to find when they only thing on your mind was killing your father. The storm had been raging for close to four days at this point. Now she knew it was her doing. Both Fa and Luna noticed the same thing days before but kept their mouths shut. She had seen it all over their faces. Part of her wanted to ask for help but she just didn't know how to at this point. She could feel it ripping her apart deep inside. She felt lost. It was to the point her abilities were starting to show it. She couldn't track things for long distances anymore. She even struggled to start a simple fire. Fa was extremely worried.

"Little kitten, are you alright?" The girl only nodded back. "Are you sure? I promised Torikk to keep you safe. With a storm like this and the way you have been acting I don't know if you have it in you to fight even a kid at this point." Rain spun around with anger in her eye. Before she could speak Fa spoke up "Your only proving my point." Rain stopped in her tracks. Her smoldering eye started to spark up, but before she could tears burst forth from her eyes. Fa wrapped her arms around the girl, holding her tightly. "What's going on in there?" Over the next few hours, Rain explained how she felt about her father. The burning need to kill him for what he did to Fa and Luna. Part of her even came to blame him for Torikks death. She knew it was irrational to say but it's how she felt. She got to the point that the rational aspect of her didn't matter.

"I feel like I need to tear at my skin to make it stop." The girl saw the sadness in Fa's eyes. She never meant for it to go this far. She never wanted to make Fa fear her.

"I'm so sorry I'm failing you little kitten." Tears were pouring from Fa's eyes. Rain had no idea what to do. "I was so happy that we were safe in the twilight that I focused on learning things instead of helping you out. You who is like a daughter to me. I am horrible as a mother. I am so sorry. How can I help you?" Rain couldn't speak. She was so confused. Why did this hurt Fa so badly? She had never thought that it would. The more she thought about it the more it came to her. Until this point in time, she and Fa were a perfect team. They did everything together. Then suddenly she stopped working with her. The woman she first called mother. She just stopped.

"I'm sorry mom." Fa looked at her.

"For what little kitten."

"I saw how happy you were and instead of going with my gut and still asking you for help I went in. I started to work on my own. As a result, I have become a monster." Rain kept her eyes on Fa.

"Stop." Fa yanked a tuft of Rains hair lightly. Rain's eyes got big with surprise. Fa started to giggle. "Sorry. I'm not sure where that came from. Still stop. We both messed up and now we need to fix it. What's the real reason you're so focused on this?" Rain started to telling Fa her plan. She told her about her portal powers, which didn't surprise her. Rain had forgotten that Fa was awake when they escaped in the portal from Ordiks castle.

When all was said and done Fa smiled. "We got this little kitten." Rain didn't know why but for some strange reason to her she felt a bit of inner peace.
