Opening her eyes again Rain saw Storm still on top of the Prince. She heard the crunch as the svern clamped down his jaw on Ordik's arm. The prince let out a shout of pain and rage bundled into one hate-filled release. His eyes erupted in their own flames, dancing far above his head. He had finally become completely serious. Throwing storm off of him and returning to his feet he looked around. Storm had landed on his own four paws and readied for the next fight. Storm could see Rain out of the corner of his eye. The pair were as ready as ever to perform.
"Do you let animals handle all of your fights you pathetic waste of my seed?" The Prince shouted as he turned his head to look at his daughter. The girl only let out a whistle. Storm responded in kind, dashing in and sinking its fangs deeply into Ordik's ankle. The prince did not move his eyes away from his daughter. He had seen the major difference in her and now felt fear. Before he could reach down and grab Storm, Rain followed up the svern's attack in kind. Her speed was beyond that Ordik had seen ever before. The only thing he could follow was the pink lights emanating from her eyes. Before he could even flinch he felt her sword slash down his back. She was standing behind him with her sword raised. He turned as fast as he could to face her. He was not even halfway around when he heard the next whistle. He felt something hit his legs and push them out from under himself. A massive strike landed on the back of his skull as Rain smashed the pommel of her sword into his head. His face hit the floor. Blood spewed from his mouth, leaving a puddle mixed in with the rest of the blood of his former soldiers. Another whistle rang in his ears as he felt his hair pulled, lifting his head off of the cold stone it had only just slammed into. The next thing he saw was the knee of his daughter. Drool from the mouth of her pet dripped down his face as it held his head in its mouth, slightly bearing down on his skull. Yet another whistle sounded. This time no pain followed. He slowly lifted his head. He felt woozy moving even at that speed. The pain throbbed through his head. His eyes came in contact with his once captive pet. Storm growled when he made eye contact and stopped when the contact ended. Ordik looked over and saw his daughter had walked away. Slowly he tried to rise off the ground.
Rain made her way over to her adopted mother. The closer she got the harder it became to deal with. She had not known just how severe the damage to Fa-Lees was.
"Fa?" No response came back. "Fa?" Still, nothing was returned to her. "Fa-Lees!" she dropped to her knees next to the body. Reaching down to her body it felt different. It felt warm yet lifeless. "Fa-Lees! Please respond to me. Say anything at all." It was hard for her to accept, but nothing came back to her. Tears filled her eyes. She tried to use her newfound abilities to counteract Fa's condition. Nothing changed. Rage and sorrow filled up her chest. The ache she felt was only surpassed by the passing of Torikk. Wails of sorrow escaped her lips as she looked down at her fallen mother.
"What's the point of this strength if I can't save those I love?"
