The stomping of boots and the growling. Leather jackets and fitted tees. Washed out jeans with chains. Piercing blue eyes and a mop of blonde hair. That's what Perrie Edwards was.
The clicking of heels with head held high. Expensive blazers and silk blouses. Luxury skirts that cost more than all your clothes combined. Chocolate brown eyes and a warm smile. Now that was Jade Thirlwall.
To the both of them, they were always black and white. Polar opposites that can't stand the other.
Maybe that's why Jade's Lways chasing Perrie down the halls when she finds the blonde trying to ditch her class.
Perrie was sketchy, she was mysterious and no one really knew what happens with her whenever she suddenly disappears at the middle of a school day.
And today, Jade found herself grumbling as another one of Perrie's pranks were pulled on her. The blonde knew about Jade's obsession with being neat and it gave her time to sneak out of class without the brunette trailing behind her.
When everyone filled in the classrooms, Perrie watched Jade from a distance who was seemingly distressed as she removed every picture of Perrie that was stuck to its walls.
"Where do you think you're going?" She heard a voice ask when she turned to the exit. She closed her eyes in frustration and forced a sarcastic smile as she faced Jade.
"What, going to catch me, Thirlwall?" She taunted, stepping forward Jade's space to further annoy her. The smaller Geordie huffed, "You're a pain in everybody's ass, Perrie." She muttered, the blonde laughed, "You aren't catching me this time. It'll turn out that we're wandering the halls together."
Jade paled, she was the student body president and she can't risk that. "I hope Debbie chews you off." She mumbled as Perrie began to walk away, "Bold of you to assume that I wouldn't tell on Norma."
You see, another thing about them was that they're neighbors. And it annoys the two of them because the other one is nosy while the other one is sketchy.
"Edwards, Thirlwall, in my office, now!" Well, couldn't this just be worse?
Mr. Payne sat on his desk as Jade and Perrie entered his room, the blonde grumbled because he was really being a pain in the ass right now and she hated it.
"This is the fifth time you were caught sneaking out," He points at Perrie then gave Jade a stern look, "And you, Miss Thirlwall, I thought you would be better. I'm disappointed." He muttered, Jade winced, not used to the words 'Jade' and 'Disappointed' in a sentence.
"Now if you two have a valid reason I'll let you two off. I'm pretty sure there's a reason behind this."
Perrie was quick to open her mouth but Jade was quicker. "She was asking me if I could let her slide. She's been frantically searching for her dog since this morning. I would know, I'm her neighbor." She lied through her teeth, soon enough, Perrie was nodding her head as she took her phone.
"That's Hatchi, he's been with me for six years and I can't lose him. Sir, if you just let us off this one day." She pleaded, bumping her knees with Jade's. Mr. Payne stared at them for a while before sighing, "I'm giving you a slip, this won't happen again."
The two walked side by side towards the parking lot, Perrie smiled at the girl as she opened her car doors, "Hey, Thirlwall?" She called out to the girl with the blue convertible right across her, Jade raised her brow, "Thanks. I'll see you around."
And for the first time, Perrie smiled at her direction before driving off. Jade never thought Perrie's smile could be so blinding.
And really, the brunette shouldn't be, like, bothered by Perrie, they've been neighbors since the age of three and it's fucking stupid that the blonde only smiled at her now.
