Mariposa knocked at Kol's front door, and Kol pulled it open after a few seconds and as soon as he did, he could instantly tell there was something up with her. She didn't have the some air about her. "Mari!" He greeted her with a small smile. "What happened?"

"My darling emotions!" Mariposa said as she walked past him and walked into his house. "They seemed to have disappeared, Kol!" She said as he shut the door behind them and he followed her deeper into the house.

"What happened?" Kol asked as he sat beside her, and placed his hands over her own, rubbing his thumb over her knuckles.

"Well, I went back to my old town!" She explained. "And, these humans. They said I'm not capable of love, and the more they said about me literally behind my back, the more it made sense." She told him. "And I just thought to myself. If I can't really love, then there's no point in keeping them. So I got rid of them."

Mariposa faced Kol. "I just came to tell you so, because I don't want you to be in a one-sided relationship. You deserve more, I guess. You're delusional, making things up in your head to believe that I'm a good person, thinking that we would be fine, but we're not. I'm living a lie with you, and I think you should know that. You should know that you should've never had trusted me in the first place with your emotions - since I don't fully understand my own, let alone yours."

"So, you don't love me?" Kol questioned her as he tightened his grip on her hands.

"I can't!" She told him as she lay back on the sofa. "It's not possible. I'm not capable of it, never was, never will be. You're wasting your love on me, on something that's unrequited. You need to stop being so delusional, and need to see me for who I really am and move on. Because I'm not supposed to be sentimental and emotional - I'm the devil. I'm supposed to be evil, irredeemable and twisted." She told him.

Kol moved his hands from on top of her own, and placed his hands on either side of her face and made her look at him as he held her face. "I don't know what those humans said about you, Mari, but you are capable of love. I know you are." Kol told her. "Now, whatever you do, whatever you've done, whatever you'll do, I'll look past every deed because I'm so in love with you. I don't know what you need to hear to convince yourself you are capable of love, but this love isn't unrequited and one-sided. We love each other and I can't be convinced otherwise, and I'd rather be delusional and waste my love on you than move on and be without you." Kol told her as he looked into her dark eyes.

Mariposa began to think about everything, was there a possibility she was able to love him? But that couldn't be right, could it? "But how do you know that I am?" Mariposa asked him.

"Because not that long ago, you denied wanting to be with me in fear of Cade finding out about me and torturing me. You'd rather be without me so I'm safe, instead of being with me and taking a risk. A thousand years ago, you were sent up here and you weren't supposed to develop feelings. But you did, you developed them for me, out of all my siblings, me. But you left in fear of Cade finding out about us, and it took you years to get rid of the feelings you felt for me fully. Only for them to be brought back within a day. So I know, that some stupid things humans say can't take away the love you felt for me. I know it's hidden somewhere within you. Bring it back, Mari. I love you and I need you to bring all that love you feel for me back!" Kol pulled her face towards his and placed a tender kiss on her lips.

Mariposa knew deep down that there was some sense to what he was saying, a lot more sense than what the humans had said, her heart had began to beat a few beats faster and she began to have a series of feelings all over her body. She knew what this was, it was the emotional and sentimental version of her breaking free from the cage she put them in. As they broke the kiss, it was almost as if the emotions burst out. Almost as if Kol's soft lips were the key to the cage she put them in.

Mariposa looked at Kol, and she felt it, she felt what he was saying. She did love him, and has loved him for a thousand years. He was right, it wasn't easily gotten rid of. She just wanted to wrap her arms around him and stay there forever, and she wanted to kiss him till she died, she wanted to be in his arms and to gaze up lovingly at him, she wanted to be with him. Mariposa smiled brightly at him and took his hands off of his lap. "I love you so much, Kol!" She told him as tears welled up in her eyes. "If I ever say otherwise, don't believe me. I love you with all my heart, a thousand years of love isn't easily forgotten or gotten rid of!" She told him before she pulled the man into a hug, and he hugged her back as he let his chin rest on her head.

"I know you do, darling!" Kol whispered softly. "I know you do! But, why were you back at that town?" Kol asked her.

"I...erm, well, I was simply curious of what happened after I died there!" Mariposa lied to him. Mariposa didn't want to tell Kol about how Silas has a dagger that can kill her and that his followers know about her and would use him against her to get to her. She didn't want to let Kol into all of that, that'd be icky and she didn't want him getting hurt for something that happened way before he was even born.

"Curious?" Kol asked her with a raised brow.

"Well, yes, I mean I destroyed the place the moment of my death." Mariposa told him. "Curious to see how they fixed all that! In case you haven't noticed, I'm quite the witch!"

"That you are!" Kol said before he kissed her neck softly. "So, do you want some food?" He asked. "I'm a decent cook."

"I'd love some food!" Mariposa smiled at him kindly. "What you making? I could help!"

"My specialty." Kol grinned as he stood up and grabbed her hands before he pulled her up off the sofa and brought her hand up to his lips and pressed a kiss to her knuckles. Kol then lead her into the kitchen and Mariposa pushed Silas out of her mind, for now. He wasn't important just yet, and technically he was still 'dead', so it wasn't a problem to her.
