Mariposa had opened her door, ready to actually explore this town for once, when she saw Damon Salvatore standing there about to knock on her door. "What is it now?" She asked him with a small sigh.

"Are you aware that a vampire hunter is in town, with werewolf venom on him?" Damon asked as he walked past her and into her house, she closed her door and followed him into her living room.

"I wasn't!" She told him as she sat down beside him. "But now I am! What's it to me? He can't harm me, I'm not a vampire!"

"Want to kill him?" Damon asked her with a raised brow.

"That definitely sounds a lot better than the day I had planned!" Mariposa smiled with a nod. "Okay, let's go!" She stood up.

"What did you have planned?" Damon asked her as they left her house and she locked her door.

"Well, I was going to explore the town, you know." She admitted with a small shrug. "You see, ever since I've been here I've had no idea where I'm going I've just followed others - mainly the Mikaelsons. I literally only know where the Grill is and the way out of this town!" She explained.

"Maybe I'll show you some places on the way!" Damon said as he stopped at his car.

"Really?" Mariposa asked with a bright grin.

"If you really want me to!" Damon shrugged as they both got into his car. He started the car up and Mariposa looked at him curiously. "If you're gonna ask about the kiss, don't! Let's not make it awkward!"

"I wasn't going to!" Mariposa told him as she pointed her finger at him slightly. "I was gonna ask why on earth would you want me to help you kill a vampire hunter, in contrast to all your other little friends. Stefano? Caroline? Tyler? Elena - now that she's a vampire!"

"No thanks to you!" Damon said as he began to drive. "I'd usually bring Alaric - but you killed him too."

"Okay, admittedly not one of my best moments, in that moment of time!" Mariposa said with a small shrug. "But we're all works in progress!"

"So, I decided to ask my sort of friend - you!" Damon said and she slowly nodded at him, sort of understanding where he was coming from.

They arrived at where the hunter was staying in a kind of caravan in the middle of the woods, after Damon had shown her a few places around Mystic Falls, of course. "Okay, this is not creepy at all!" Mariposa muttered as they approached the caravan.

"Scared?" Damon asked her mockingly with a smirk.

"Me....scared?" Mariposa scoffed at the man. "I'm not scared of anything, at all. That's what happens when you've lived for almost five thousand years and have no family!" She told him.

Damon pulled the door open. "Everyone's scared of something, Marie!" Damon told her before he gestured for her to go before him. "Ladies first!"

Mariposa wondered, now that her emotions were back, if she was actually scared of something. Just thinking about it, nothing came to mind. Mariposa had never really felt fear since she was a human, and she wondered if she actually was afraid and scared of something, something she hasn't experienced before, or something she hasn't come across before.

"What a gentleman!" Mariposa said as she stepped into the caravan, deciding to ditch the thoughts of whether she was afraid of something or not, and he followed after her, closing the door behind them slightly. "Just so you know, if he comes back and tries to kill us, I'm leaving you!"

"That's not friendly!" Damon told her. "Usually friends help friends when they're in trouble, you do know that, right?" Damon asked her.

"Technically, Salvatore, we're not friends yet." Mariposa said. "You have to show me that you actually want to be my friend, and that I can trust you." She paused. "I'd say we're halfway there!"
