"You ever play the 'What If' game?" The voice of Silas said as Mariposa gained consciousness. "When you're calcified for 2,000 years, you learn to entertain yourself with these little brain teasers."

"Look, Silas." A female voice said. "This phone is prepaid, and I don't have a lot of minutes."

"Oh, no, no, no." Silas said. "It's really easy, I'll go first. You know how much I hate travellers, so to prove your allegiance to me and Jehovah, you killed your traveller friend Gregor, but what if it was all an act? What if he's still alive?"

"You saw him bleed out." The female voice said. "You buried his body yourself."

"But what if Matt's tacky ring brought him back to life?" Silas asked.

"If this is the game, it's boring." The woman told Silas over the phone.

"If we're gonna work together, I need to know that you're on my side, so find out if Matt Donovan's still alive and kill him." Silas told the woman on the phone.

"Fine, say Matt is still alive, what if he could help us to find Katherine Pierce? She's still your priority, is she not?" The woman questioned him.

"Yes, she is." Silas replied. "So, get the information that you need, rip that ring off Matt's little finger, and make sure that he doesn't cheat death again."

"I'll take care of it." The woman assured him as Mariposa slowly sat up in the back of the car. Her eyes adjusted and she saw that her wrists were tied together, and she had a gag around her mouth.

"Mariposa, you're awake." Jehovah spoke from beside Silas at the front of the car. "I realised that it was within my power to forgive you for not telling me why you burnt the town, but, doesn't mean that you can work with who you want. You're gonna be working with us against your friends." Jehovah told her. "Then, once he gets Katherine and dies, I will consider letting you go." He pulled the gag from around her mouth.

"So, am I a hostage or am I working along side you both?" She questioned. "Or do you just think I'm gonna work with you, while bound?" She asked him as she tilted her head to the side slightly.

"You're gonna do both, Princess." Jehovah said as he faced her, as Silas continued to drive.

"Don't call me that. It's slightly creepy." She told him with a scrunched up face.

"What do you want me to call you then?" Jehovah questioned her. "Papillon, mi amor, Posa?" Jehovah questioned her.

"Mariposa will do!" She told him with a sarcastic smile. "Since, you know, it's my name. And I don't know if you know or not, but normal people call people by their names."

"Okay, there's no need to be a smart arse about it." Jehovah told her as he put the gag back over her mouth and she rolled her eyes as she sat in the back giving them both a very unimpressed look. She sat there quietly as Silas drove and they sat in silence.

Mariposa's eyes travelled down to her bound wrists and smirked to herself softly, and resisted the urge to let out a laugh. She tried to slip her wrists out of the rope and chains - she had no idea why she had to have both they were being a little dramatic. As her wrists got closer to slipping out them both, as soon as her skin moved against them, they burnt her as they both glowed red. She groaned in pain as faint red marks appeared on her wrists and she placed her wrists back to where they were before, and let out a soft sigh.

"Ahhh, I see you've found out our little invention we created 2,000 years ago." Silas spoke to her as he continued to drive. "You see, we both spelled those chains and the rope. If it's touching you, it does nothing, if you move against it you get burnt and injured. It only works on people from upstairs and downstairs - we spelled it so."
