Mariposa woke up before the other three, and she was sick and tired of her heart, which she didn't really need, hurting her 24/7. Out of all emotions she has been feeling recently, this was the worst one of them all. Heartbreak and Hurt. Mariposa leaned her head back and stared up at the ceiling and an idea popped into her head.

She had a back-up idea, one that she didn't want to entirely do, one that wouldn't just hurt her, but it'd hurt Kol as well. But if her first choice didn't work, she'd go to her back-up.

She knew that she probably shouldn't, but it seemed to be one of the only options. She had to get rid of them again. She had to get rid of every single one emotion, that way she wouldn't care about his death and wouldn't feel all this emotional pain she was going through. She sat up straight and closed her eyes and concentrated.

After about a minute, she opened her eyes and all her emotions were gone, slowly she felt the ache in her chest disappear and she laughed to herself with a smirk on her face. It was all gone and she already felt better.

She spun round to see Chris looking at her very unimpressed and slightly angry. "Tell me you didn't!" Chris told her as he shook his head lightly.

"Tell you I didn't what?" Mariposa asked him innocently with a smirk.

"You did, didn't you?" Chris hissed at her incredulously as he accidentally woke Klaus up. Klaus looked between the two curiously as he did so.

"Chris, you need to start making sense!" Mariposa told him with furrowed brows. "I have no idea what your talking about, maybe you should learn the English language before you start speaking!"

"What has she done?" Klaus asked confused.

"She's gotten rid of her emotions!" Chris almost growled. "I can't sense them, they're gone."

"Oooooh!" Mariposa giggled. "Those. Yeah, I got rid of them." She admitted with a shrug. "They weren't doing anything for me to be honest. They were doing nothing but hurting me, so, they had to go."

"Do you realise how stupid you are?" Chris snapped. "Why would you do that? You were doing so well as well!"

"They were getting boring!" Mariposa whispered as she obnoxiously yawned, causing Caroline to wake up. "Ahh, look, the bitchy vampire is awake. How wonderful. What a treat!"

Caroline furrowed her brows at Mariposa before she looked to the other two in confusion. Caroline knew Mariposa slightly, and knew she wasn't usually this blunt, and the only answer she could come up with, wasn't possible. Mariposa wasn't a vampire, she couldn't switch her humanity off.

"Tell me your not serious!" Caroline said over the phone as she stood in the kitchen while the other three in the house eavesdropped on the conversation.

"I wish I weren't!" Elena's annoying voice spoke from the other side of the phone. "When we got back from looking for Jeremy, Shane and Bonnie were both gone, too. Shane needs Bonnie to cast a spell on Jeremy's tattoo in order to find the cure, and he managed to sneak them both out from under our noses."

"Well, where's Damon in all this?" Caroline questioned.

"We had an argument." Elena said. "I thought he was just taking a walk, but then when we went to the beach, we saw signs of a struggle."

"Meaning what?" Caroline asked.

"Meaning somebody probably jumped him and then grabbed him." Elena answered.

"Do you think Shane took him?" Caroline suggested.

"No, I mean, he's not strong enough to take Damon on, even with the element of surprise." Elena answered Caroline's question. "He must have someone or at least a few someone's helping him."
