Mariposa was driving out of the town with the car she stole, she was near a bridge when she reached over to the seat next to her to grab her phone, when she looked up she saw a figure in the street. "Shit!" She widened her eyes as she slammed her foot on the accelerator instead of the breaks. When she realised this she dropped the phone and slammed the breaks on, but it was too late she had already hit them with the car.
Mariposa got out of the car and looked at the front, where there was a massive dent in where their body hit her car. The person got up and she looked over to see Kol. "You dented my car!" She pointed out seeing he was already healed up.
"Is it really your car, or did you steal it?" Kol as her as she sensed him walking towards her. She wanted anything but to be close to him, she knew how her feelings worked, she didn't want old feelings emerging from the dark waters she forced them into a thousand years ago. "And where did you learn to drive? Because the way you do it is questioning!" He sat on the hood of the car so he faced her and she faced him.
Mariposa looked at him. "I didn't learn to drive!" She told him with a small shrug as she avoided his eyes and looked anywhere but his eyes.
"Almost a thousand years out in the world and you didn't bother to learn how to drive?" Kol asked her with a scoff. "Quite pathetic!"
Mariposa licked her bottom lip and sighed. "Why are you here, Kol?" Mariposa asked him as she looked at the car's windshield. "I mean, I have a pretty good idea what all your families feelings and views are towards me. Finn made it pretty clear."
"That's Finn!" Kol told her. "He's a dick!"
"Yet, one of the ones out of all of you that I was closest to, and now he hates me!" Mariposa pointed out as she put her black hair behind her ears. "He blames me for everything that's happened to your family."
"Can you blame him?" Kol asked her. "Everything bad happened to our family after you left!" Kol looked at her and wondered why she wouldn't look him in the eyes, he knew deep down he still had feelings for her, but he didn't know her. "Are you even gonna tell me how you're alive? You know how we are, so why are you?"
She didn't look at him.
Kol had had enough and slid off the car and walked over to her, he put two fingers under her chin and tilted her head up so she was looking into his eyes. Mariposa stared into his eyes, before she stepped back and away from him. This time she looked at him. "You can't even look at me without being promoted to!" Kol told her. "Why? Do you feel guilty for being the main reason our family became dysfunctional and only had bad luck?"
Mariposa scoffed. "Sure, you can blame all that stuff on me, but don't you dare blame me for making your family dysfunctional. It was dysfunctional before I left and way before I first met you all!" She snapped at him angrily before she closed her eyes and calmed herself down slightly. "And another thing, I don't feel guilty for anything I did!" She told him with a shrug as she shook her head. "I don't feel guilty that I left!"
"I loved you!" Kol told her softly. "I confessed my love for you, and you just up and left, without an explanation and without a goodbye. I'm pretty sure seeing you there just brought those feelings back. So the least you can do is tell me why you left!" Mariposa saw he had tears in his eyes and she let out a shaky sigh.
"I can't tell you, because you'll hate me even more!" Mariposa told him as she shook her head. "It'll just be best if you go back home to your family and forget that you ever saw me and let me go! I won't ever come back so you can't relive all these emotions you're experiencing!"
"So you can leave without an explanation, again?" Kol asked her. "I don't think so. You tell me now, or I will rip your heart out right here, right now!" He took a few steps closer to her.
