What You Need To Know (Introduction)

It really surprised me that I was able to write this story. Writing one where Hoseok is prominent is something I've always struggled with. He's usually either portrayed as a happy-go-lucky sunshine or a sadistic murderer, literally, it's so hard to find an in-between. As for me, it's hard for me to put myself in his personality type's shoes (even though my sister is very similar to him, ironically).

I've been struggling with writer's block for weeks, trying to come up with a story for Jimin. I have a bunch of half-written one shots laying around on my hard drive. I started thinking about one I'd written, about how to make it a full-blown story. And next thing I knew I'd written 35 chapters. Wow!

Two things that are important about this story:

1) The title is actually a Korean verb (spelled 나다). When you look it up it means "growth/building/forming". Korean has several words for this but the other one, my co-teacher uses when she talks about gardening and this one she doesn't so....I think as the story progresses you will see why I picked it.

2) This story is my most personal one to date and takes a lot of inspiration from both my own life and the lives of some of my friends. This is important to mention because some of the religious discussion might be offensive to some readers. You might read it and go "that's not what that means to me! That's not how I practice it!" I respect other people's journeys and am a firm believer in "religion is what you bring to it". That being said, please do the same to me and respect that it is inspired by my own experience. This is some of what was taught to me, this is what it means to me, this is what I was subjected to.

I feel like there aren't a lot of books in the BTS fanfiction world that really deal both with the more distasteful aspects of religion (if it's mentioned, it's very flippantly) or the subject of stalking and just how deeply someone on the narcissistic spectrum can affect your life and how hard it is to get away. So this is my answer/exploration of those topics.

I plan to update Thursdays and Fridays.
