Selfish (Camren)

Part 6

Raven and Lauren stormed through the town, in search of a certain little witch. They'd both do anything for Dinah, even if it meant turning the town upside down and killing everyone in it to save her.

"Did the vampires not get the memo? You aren't supposed to be this side of town."

A pack of wolves surrounded Raven and Lauren in the middle of the street.

A young woman stepped forward, eyeing Raven and Lauren's presence.

"We mean no harm, we're just looking for our friend." Raven calmly told the pack of wolves. She wasn't in the mood to fight with these creatures and their bite brought her a lot of discomfort which she didn't really want to go through right now.

"Vampires are not allowed here." The girl replied firmly, the pack right behind her to attack anyone that tried to bring harm her way.

"Look little lady, we just need to look around for a friend then we'll be on our way. But if you do plan on getting in our way, it won't end well for you." Lauren challenged the girl whom she assumed was the alpha of the pack.

"Are you threatening me?" The girl growled, the pack starting get restless too at the threat.

"Like I said we mean no harm." Raven butted in, nudging Lauren in her stomach.

"But like my friend said, it won't end well for all of you because we're the next generation vampires and we can't die." Raven revealed.

The alpha eyes widened at the news, she's heard of them and they certainly weren't the people anyone wanted to mess with. Her eyes peeked over at Lauren whom she now assumed is the hybrid. She's heard many stories about the ruthless hybrid.

"Who exactly are you looking for?" The alpha asked.

"A witch, she took our friend."

"Does this witch perhaps have short brown hair and blue eyes? Middle aged?" The alpha listed off the characteristics of the witch that had taken Dinah.

"Yes, do you know her?" Raven desperately asked, wanting to find Dinah.

"You could say that. I could help you find her."

"Alpha no, they're dangerous. You don't have-"

"Hush, Mason. I can't take care of myself." The alpha told her right hand, then she turned back to Raven.

"I'll help you, but you have to promise that during your stay here, you won't harm any of my pack." The alpha added on.

Lauren could refrain from rolling her eyes, if she had it her way, she would've killed this alpha by now.

"Deal, now show us." Raven agreed.

The alpha gestured for both vampires to follow her. She also reassured her pack that she'll be fine and back in no time.

"As much as I would love to go on this witch hunt, I have other plans." Lauren told the two girls and Raven stared at her in shock.

"What possibly could be more important than saving Dinah?" Raven furrowed her brows at the green eyed girls.

"Just trust me and I'm counting on you to bring our precious Dinah back." Lauren said before disappearing by using her vampire speed.

Raven couldn't believe Lauren right now, but she had to stay focused in order to get Dinah back.

"So where are we off too..." Raven trailed off, not knowing the alpha's name.

"Normani. We headed off to meet another witch." The dark skinned girl answered and Raven followed her without another word.

The two girls made their way to a bar that seemed to be quite popular.

"You brought me to a freaking bar?" Raven hissed, behind Normani.

"The witch works here." Normani explained, walking further into the bar.

The vampires started having second doubts about trusting the witch, until she saw her. The witch her and Lauren were looking for.

Camila stood behind the bar table with a cloth over her shoulder as she made the man in front of her a drink.

"Hey, Mila!" Normani called approaching the brunette. Camila's head turned to them, a smile spreading on her face when she saw her friend.

Her eyes then landed on Raven and she tilted her head in confusion at the vampire with her friend.

"What brings you two here?" Camila grinned, turning her attention to them with she finished serving her customer.

"Well she needs your help." Normani pointed at the vampire. Raven couldn't help but stare at the girl that's been on her mind since she graciously saved her.

Camila's eyes trained on Raven, waiting for her to say something. "What can I do for you?"

The witch's voice brought Raven out her daydream. "Oh um, our friend Dinah has been taken by a witch and I was hoping that you might be able to help find her."

"And the witch she's talking about is Alison." Normani added on, causing Camila's eyes to widen.

"I don't know if I could help you with that." Camila nervously told Raven, she couldn't meet the vampire's eyes.

"Girl, what do you mean? You can literally do anything." Normani said to Camila

Camila bit her lip nervously. She didn't know if it was worth it to help this vampire that she barley knew and betray her own kind.

Raven noticed the anxious look on Camila's face. "It's okay, I'm sure I can find some other help." Raven smiled, trying to sooth Camila's nervous stature.

"No no, I'll help." Camila answered. She then told one of her co-workers to cover her shift for the rest of the night and made her way to the back room with Raven and Normani following close behind.

"Okay so we need to perform a location spell in order to find her." Camila told the other two girls as they entered her private room that was reserved for her magic.

"Lucky for you I have some of Allison's blood." The witch said, searching through a tray of small tubes with blood.

"That's not at all creepy." Normani shivered at the sight of blood tubes that Camila had stashed.

"What? You never know when you might need them." Camila shrugged as she collected the necessities need to cast the spell.

She spread a map of New Orleans over the table and poured Allison's blood in the middle of the map.

Camila then held out her hand to Raven," I need to use your power."

"Why? I know you don't need an external source to perform this type of spell." Raven said. She didn't want to do something that would enable the witch to gain to much power and then have her turn against Raven.

"I'm a siphoner. I can't do magic on my own. I need to draw magic from a source." Camila explained with her hand still extended.

Raven turned to Normani who nodded her head encouragingly and the vampire took ahold of the witch's hand.

Camila inhaled deeply when she felt the immense power that the vampire possessed. She closed her eyes and began casting the spell.

Raven intently watched the witch, liking the feeling of Camila's hand in hers a little too much.

The blood on the map began to move slowly towards the location where Allison would be. When the blood stopped moving, Camila stopped the spell and took a look.

"She's by the cemetery." Camila told Raven and then looked down at their hands that were still clasped together.

Raven awkwardly dropped Camila's hand and cleared her throat in embarrassment. The witch giggled at the vampire's antics, causing Raven's lips to curl up in a small smile.

"So are we going to head over there?" Normani asked, eyeing Camila and Raven.

"Yeah let's go."

A/N posting another chapter because Camila's album just came out and it's so good. I have no words for it. Lol it had me in tears but I was also dancing to the bops. In conclusion her album killed me.
