Selfish (Camren)

Part 11

The girls made their way back to the farm house. Raven stated that this was the best place for Camila to stay since nobody knew they were here.

"I'm going to find Lauren and give her a piece of my mind." Raven huffed.

"Go easy on her, please." Camila requested and the vampire agreed, leaving Camila, Dinah and Normani alone.

"I think we made a good team today." Dinah wiggled her eyebrows at the alpha.

Camila giggled at Normani's annoyed face, but she could see the playful glint in werewolf's eyes.

Normani then had to leave and go back to her pack and Dinah stayed with the witch, telling her that she'll be in the room downstairs.

Camila realised how heavy her eyes felt when her head hit the pillows. She was out in less than a few minutes and Dinah let her be when she saw the sleeping witch.

Later that night, someone entered her room through the window, kneeling down at the side of the bed Camila slept on.

Lauren studied Camila's face, trying to remember every single detail that she could. I'm giving you a chance, Camila's words echoed through her mind. It made her heart feel warm, a feeling she's never felt in a long time.

She brought her hand up to gently stroke the witches face. Camila's beauty was definitely something that stood out to the hybrid but her kind and gentle heart stood out to her even more. Lauren came across many people in her lifetime and she's never came across someone like her. Someone that genuinely seemed like a good person.

"I'm going to protect you from any danger that comes your way. You have my word, pretty witch." Lauren whispered, retreating her hand when Camila began to stir.

Lauren left before Camila fully woke from her sleep. The witch squinted her eyes as she looked around the room.

She shivered at the breeze that came through the open window. Camila closed the window and peered outside. She let out a big yawn, deciding that she should go back to sleep.

Lauren appeared from behind a tree when Camila's figure vanished from the window. She stared up at the witch's room before leaving back to the compound.

Camila eyes slowly began to flutter open as she woke from her slumber. The witch took a deep breath, turning onto her back so that she could stretch her muscles.

When she heard a cough, her eyes widen as she sat up in fear from the noise. "What the hell are you guys doing here?" The witch screeched, staring at the three intruders in her room.

"We were waiting for you to wake up." Lauren smirked at Camila's glare.

"So you just watched me sleep?" Camila shivered at the thought of them watching her sleep. She then peered at them, waiting for a proper explanation.

"We just wanted to fill you in on why people are trying to kill you and Lauren as something to say to you." Raven nudged the hybrid forward.

Lauren huffed at the vampire's push, but took another step forward. "I'm sorry for almost killing you." Lauren said in a monotone voice.

Camila raised her eyebrow at the apology that didn't seem sincere at all. "Forgive her, she isn't use to apologising for anything, but we have more important matters. Before I killed that man that tried to kill you, he me told why there are people after you. He said that there's a prophecy and people that know about it, don't want it to happen." Raven explained and Camila frowned at the newfound information.
