Selfish (Camren)

Part 32

Camila called the person she trusted most since Lauren wasn't here.

"Raven." Camila let out a relieved sigh, when the vampire picked up the phone. Ever since Lauren had disappeared, Raven too had made her presence minimal.Only ever appearing to give the twins their gifts on their birthdays and when it was really necessary for her to be out.

"Camila." Raven replied.

"The twins, I don't think they have much time left." She whispered, not wanting the twins to hear her speak.

"I'm on my way."

Camila hung up the phone and she was startled by the loud crash coming from the living room, hearing the twins scream.

At the speed of light she ran to see what the commotion was and saw a dozen men entering the room.

"We came for them." The man said, pointing and Skylar and Camdyn.

"Well you're going to have to go through me first." Camila hissed, her eyes turning red and curled her lips to show her vangs.

She charged at the men, easily fighting them off. She sunk her teeth into one of them, drinking in their human blood. They must have been compelled to to come here.

One of the pulled out a gun, shooting mindlessly at Camila. The the bullets had no affect on her and she clicked her fingers, using magic to snap his neck.

"Mama." Skylar called, Camila rushed over to them when she made sure all the men were dead.

Her eyes widened at the bloody knife that was Camdyn's hand.

"He tried to attack us." The young boy tried to explain why he had just killed that man.

Both twin suddenly felt pain shoot through their head and they opened their eyes, golden orbs staring into Camila's.

"They activated their werewolf gene, they're going to turn on the full moon." Camila sobbed and Raven wrapped a comforting arm around her.

"Have you explained to them what it means to activate their werewolf curse." Octavia questioned. Raven and Octavia has become on item after Raven turned her into a vampire, relieving Octavia from her vampire hunters curse. The two were inseparable and Camila was happy that Raven had finally found love.

"I mean, the school has spoken to them about it, but Lauren... she normally spoke to them about these kind of things." Camila really needed Lauren by her side now. She just wanted the tribrid to come home.

"Do you want me to speak to the twins?" Raven asked.

"No I'll do it."

All three girls whipped their heads to the front door. There stood the long lost tribrid that everyone was looking for. Well, Raven knew where she was, but she instructed the vampire not to come get her.

Lauren glanced at the shattered glass the scattered the floor and her eyes trailed back up to land on Camila's.

Camila got up, slowly making her way to Lauren. When they were face to face and loud smack echoed through the house.

"Where the hell have you been?!"

Lauren tried to open her mouth to her explain, but Camila shoved her back. The tribrid tumbled over, both girls stepping outside.

"I needed you." Camila was now getting worked up. Lauren hadn't been there for her when she needed her.

"You weren't there." Camila choked on the tears she was trying to hold back and she gave Lauren another shove.
