Selfish (Camren)

Part 33

"Where is Lucy!?" Lauren exclaimed, gripping the vampires neck tightly, holding the girl in the air with one arm. She was one of Lucy's followers and Lauren needed information.

"I-I don't-" The tribrid snapped her neck before she could say anymore.

She needed to find that blood sucker and end her, before Lucy could cause anymore harm.

"Mom doesn't care about us?!" Skylar yelled at her brother. Her body was starting to hurt and the voices in her head got louder, she just wanted it to stop.

"She does care about us! Didn't you listen when mama told us that she's been gone to find a way to save us. She's always just been trying to protect us." Camdyn was tired of his sister's temper tantrums. She needed to get over herself and stop making everything about her.

"What the hell do you know? You're-"

Camdyn's face hardened and his eyes turned black. Skylar began to feel her airways tighten.

Camdyn outstretched hand curled into a fist and he moved it higher, Skylar's body moving the same way and lifted from the ground

"You're hurting me." Skylar choked out, trying to take in as much oxygen as she could. The red veins spread behind Camdyn's neck and he clenched his fist tighter, blocking any air from entering his sisters lungs.

Skylar struggled against her brother's magic and she could feel herself falling in and out of consciousness.

Lauren entered the house and immediately was at Camdyn's side.

Pain struck through her when she touched her son's body. She pushed through the pain, grabbing Camdyn's face.

"Cam, it's me. You need to calm down, you're hurting your sister." Lauren shook her son and his eyes returned to their normal colours.

Skylar fell to the ground, gasping for air.

"Mom." Camdyn mumbled and looked back at his sister who was looking at him with fear in her eyes.

"Shh, it's okay. You didn't mean it." Lauren pulled him in for a hug, kissing the top of his head softly.

"What's going on-" Camila rushed to Skylar's side and glanced at Lauren who was holding Camdyn.

"So Lauren's grandmother is using us as a way to get herself back into this world and when this all happens we'll die." Camdyn couldn't wrap his head around the new information that his parents were telling him.

"Hey, I won't let anything happen to either of you. I'll protect both of you." Lauren said.

"Yeah, but the last four years didn't count right?"

"Skylar!" Camila scolded.

"I know I should've at least called both of you and I'm sorry for that." Lauren looked at her daughter and Skylar averted her eyes, not wanting to look at her mom right now. She was angry.

She was sngry about this whole stupid situation, angry that her brother had nearly just killed her, angry at her mom for being gone for four years and angry that she couldn't control the darkness that she was feeling inside her right now.

"Skylar?" Camdyn watched the way his sister's breathing became heavy and how her eyes weren't brown anymore.

Skylar launched Camdyn, taking both Camila and Lauren off guard.

She growled in her brothers face, swinging her hand back to land a painful blow in Camdyn's face.

Lauren pulled Skylar off her brother, but that resulted in Lauren earning a hard punched to the jaw.
