Selfish (Camren)

Part 13

"What do you want, Lauren?" Colton sighed at his old friend that had been talking his head off.

"Why do you think that I want something?" Lauren faked offence, but Colton knew better.

"I know you, Jauregui." Colton told her as they would through the compound and have his vampires orders.

"Fine, you caught me." Lauren said surrendering and grabbing on Colton's shoulder to pull him to a halt.

"What is it?"Colton crosses his arms, wanting to hear whatever she had to say

"You see, you have someone that I need."

"And who might that be?"

"Camila's cousin." Lauren bluntly said and Colton immediately shook his head.

"No way, I'm not giving you Dylan." The vampire finalised, walking away from the hybrid to carry on with his daily tasks.

Lauren scowled, grabbing Colton and pinning him against the wall. The vampires around them stopped what they were doing, their attention now on the pair. Each vampire looked like they were ready to fight Lauren if she made a wrong move.

"I wasn't asking you for him, I was ordering you." Lauren whispered lowly to him.

The vampire rolled his eyes, shoving Lauren off him. "And my answer is still no."

Lauren looked around her, counting all the vampires that currently stood around her. "I tried to play nice with you, so don't cry when I sweep this little kingdom you built from right under you." The hybrid warned, leaving the compound.

Colton let out a breath when Lauren left, not wanting to show her any fear. "What are all of you looking at? Get back to work!" Colton shouted are his vampires.

"Did he tell you where Camila's cousin is?" Dinah asked when Lauren met up with her and Raven in a cafe.

"No, did you find anything in his office?" Lauren looked at both of them but the pair shook their heads.

"Why are we sneaking around in the compound when we live there now?" Raven tilted her head confused.

"We can't have Colton knowing what we're up to or else our presence will not be welcomed there anymore." Lauren explained.

"I don't understand why we just don't kill him and take back your home." Dinah expressed, they were the strongest creatures in the world. Killing a few vampires to get the compound was nothing but a small cat fight for them.

"Not everything has be violent and we don't want chaos to start in New Orleans."

"Oh please, you once killed a man because he was chewing too loudly." Raven scoffed.

Lauren got up, not having time for Dinah and Raven's childish behaviour. "While you two sit around and talk nonsense, I'm actually going to do something to figure out a way to stop this damn prophecy by getting Camila's cousin and then have Camila try to figure out the rest of the prophecy."

With that, Lauren went around town asking people about Dylan and Dinah and Raven also tried to help where they could.

After a long day wondering around town, Lauren decided to pay her new witch friend a visit.

"I'll have some of your finest whiskey." Lauren requested as she sat down at the bar.

Camila looked up when she heard the familiar voice. Her eyes met Lauren's who sat two seats away from the person she was currently attending too.
