Selfish (Camren)

Part 22

"Camila, you have to stop Lauren!" Normani shouted, frantically running into the compound. She was covered in blood and she looked like she had soon a ghost.

"What happened? What's wrong?" Camila exclaimed, checking if there was any harm brought upon her best friend.

"She's gone completely rogue. She's turning the town upside down. It's like she's completely gone."

"She's turned her humanity off." Raven said as she entered the compound. Camila's eyes widened at what Raven said. That only meant that Lauren's feelings for the people she cared for was gone. She didn't feel anything.

"She's also using magic and I don't know how she's doing that because-"

"Wait, she's using magic?" This was now news to Raven. It only meant that Lauren was now nearly almost impossible to stop or control.

"Normani what happened to you?" Dinah ran down the stairs when she saw that state of the wolf.

"Lauren she's-"

"I'm going to kill her." Dinah growled but Raven stood in front of her, prevent her form leaving. "Get out of my way Raven."

"I'm afraid I cannot do that. This is for your own safety. Lauren isn't herself right now." Raven explained and Dinah snarled. She didn't care, she was going to make Lauren pay for what she did to Normani.

"She didn't hurt me Dinah. She could've but she gave me this look and left me with all the wolves that she did kill. There were so many of them." Normani's eyes burned from the image, she tried to save them but she was no match for Lauren. She watched her tear Mason to shreds and she couldn't do anything about it.

"That means that she still gripping on some humanity. We can still save her." Raven quickly answered.

"Screw that, I'm so done with Lauren!" Dinah exclaimed, she's been through so much with Lauren and she thinks this is the final straw.

"You don't mean that Dinah. You love her and we promised to always be there for each other, even through the darkest of times. 'Always and forever' remember." Raven didn't need her family to fall apart right now, this was the worst time for that.

"She's broken Raven! There's no turning back for her. In fact we're all broken, beyond repair. Everywhere we go, everything we touch, everyone we love dies because of us. It's the funniest thing actually, we're the most powerful creatures to ever live, and yet it's our own power that has broken us in ways we can't describe. 'Always and forever' isn't a gift but a curse put upon us, because of what we are and we have to live with that forever."

"So that's it? After four hundred years of us staying by each other's side you're just going to give up?" Raven asked and Dinah stared at her with conflicting emotions across her face.

"Sometimes walking away is easier."

"You and I both know that's complete bullshit. But if you want to leave again then nobody's stopping you, but don't forget that Lauren was there for you when nobody else was. Even after all the dreadful things we did, she still stayed by our side because that's what family does." The vampire told Dinah.

"Please, I don't know anything." The young woman cried, she kneeled in front of Lauren, begging for her life.

The tribrid crouched down in front of the witch, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. "That's just too bad. I guess I could let you go." Lauren told her and the woman looked up at her with hopeful eyes.

"But I'm in the mood to kill." She grinned, sinking her teeth into the witches neck. The young woman thrashed and cried under her until her body stopped struggling.

"Lauren."

She pulled her teeth from the woman when she heard her name being called. The girl turned around to face Colton and the man took a step back when he soaked in Lauren's state.

"I found a witch that might be able to help Camila with the merge, she's waiting by the compound." Colton said.

"Looks like I've got somewhere to be." Lauren smirked turning around, but Raven appeared and blocked her way. "Move." The tribrid commanded, but Raven only stood her ground.

"Don't make me shove you out my way." Lauren threatened and that's when Dinah appeared.

"You need to stop this Lauren. What you doing isn't going to save Camila or your child's life." Dinah pointed out and her words made Lauren's blood boil.

"Do you have a death wish?" Lauren scowled at her younger sister. She wouldn't hesitate to end both of them right now, her humanity was turned off so she felt nothing for either of them

"I wish for you to only stop killing everyone." Dinah answered and Lauren let out a laugh.

"Oh I'm sorry, I can't help but recall the time you killed an entire village just because the boy you loved didn't love you back. You killed five hundred innocent people that day, little sister and even proceeded to kill that boy you claimed to love so dearly, what was his name again? Liam? Lucas? Oh wait I remember, it was dear Lewis." Lauren smiled widely when Dinah growled at her.

She tried to attack Lauren but Raven held her back. "Stop, she's only saying this to provoke you." The older vampire told Dinah.

"And let's not forget our dear old saint Raven. The charming and noble one out of the three of us." Lauren grinned and Raven narrowed her eyes at Lauren, not knowing where this was going.

"Can you remember the cries of parents when you left that Children's hospital? They were devastated to find all their children murdered, with not one life spared. All it took for you was one whiff of blood and you were gone. Do the children's screams of terror help you sleep at night?" Lauren chuckled, she opened a door that Raven had sealed shut for years. The memory was buried deep and Raven had carried the guilt for years.

"That's it!" Raven hissed, pouncing on Lauren. They both tumbled to the ground as they fought each other. The vampire was obviously no match for Lauren and she was easily pinned underneath her.

Dinah then threw Lauren off Raven and fought Lauren herself. Both of them fought the powerful tribrid, knowing that they're going to lose at the end.

Lauren was about to pull out Raven's heart when she felt something pierce into her chest. She looked at Colton as he stabbed the object deeper into her body.

The three of them took a step back, when they watched Lauren's fall to the ground.  Colton had used the dagger that Lauren used to on Raven and Dinah for many years to keep them asleep until she thought it was the right time to end their punishments and pull it out.

They all thought that Lauren's fight was over now that she was staked by the dagger, but they couldn't be more wrong. She had unlocked her witch side, making her even stronger.

The three vampire watched bewildered, when the dagger started moving out of Lauren, until she physically gripped it herself and pulled it out.

"I wish you hadn't done that." Lauren growled at Colton, she ran up to him, sinking her teeth in his arm and pierced the dagger into Dinah.

Lauren's bite was going to kill Colton soon. Her bite contained wolf venom which was poisonous to vampires and the only cure was her blood.

The tribrid then turned to Raven. She snapped her fingers and the vampire fell to the ground from the spell that Lauren casted on her.

She stared at the three people she use to care a lot for with emotion on her face. She had more important things to worry about than these three, she had a witch to kill.
