Selfish (Camren)

Part 30

"Mama tell us the sorry about the princess and the evil witch!" Skylar jumped up and down on her bed. Camila always struggled to get her to go sleep, but Skylar never said no to a bed story which ultimately was the only that could really put her to sleep.

"Yeah mama, please!" Camdyn grinned excitedly expected her was already under the covers, waiting patiently for a story.

Camila smiled softly at her two babies that were growing up so quickly. They just turned seven the other day and Dinah threw a huge party, wanting to convince the twins that she was better than Aunty Raven.

"Did someone say story time?" Lauren popped into their bedroom and both children squealed in delight.

Skylar ran up to her mom, happily clinging to the woman as soon as Lauren picked her up. From the minute Skylar could walk, she went straight to Lauren, being a big mommy's girl since she was a baby. Not only was she all over Lauren, but she literally a mini Lauren. She had sharp facial structure just like her mom, same attitude and personality which came with the bed temper tantrums, but she was as sweet as ever, always laughing and talking to anyone she meets. The only difference was her brown eyes, that she inherited from Camila.

Camdyn also made his way to his mom, giggling as Lauren scooped him up in her other arm. Now Camdyn was more like Camila. He was a lot more shy and quite than his sister. He was very gentle and Camila was convinced that the boy wouldn't harm a fly. Camdyn had also been attached to Camila's hip, following her everywhere she want, even though it did drive Camila crazy sometimes. Look wise, he was more like Camila expected for a few features and he inherited both his parent's eye colours. The right eye being an emerald green, where as his left her was a lighter brown that's Camila's eyes colour.

"Were both of you good today?" Lauren raised her eyebrow.

"Yeah mama, I learnt how to make flowers become alive again!" Camdyn said and Camila smiled at the memory, remembering the way his face lit up, when old brown flower straightened on its stem and it's yellow colour returning on the petals.

"And what about you, baby?" Lauren glanced at Skylar that had gone quiet all of a sudden.

"I couldn't do it."She grumbled, the only thing she did was kill the rest of the field of flowers, including Camdyn's one.

"It's okay, I didn't know how to control my magic either at your age." Lauren said, making the little girl feel a lot better.

Lauren and Camila then exchanged a look, both of them knowing why she couldn't control her magic, but that was a whole other conversation.

"Come let's tuck you in and I'll tell you a story."
The twins scurried off to their beds, excited for another one of Lauren's stories.

"How was your day, love?" Lauren turned to Camila and placed a soft kiss on her lips.

"You know how they always keep me on my toes." Camila chuckled, but her laugh soon died down.

"It's getting worse Lauren. Camdyn's better at controlling it, but Skylar, she lost control for a split second. I don't know how long this charm bracelets will be able to keep them stable." Camila whispered sadly and Lauren gently cupped her face.

"You know I'll find a way out of this for them, I'm searching for answers everyday." The smaller woman nodded at Lauren's words, knowing that Lauren was practically shifting oceans to save the twins.

"I just think that in the mean time it would be best to put them in a proper school." Camila suggested.

"What? I don't think-"

"They need to be with children their age, Lauren and Normani informed me that a new supernatural school opened. There they can be with other children just like them."
