Lauren pulled out her last victims heart, letting the vampires body fall to the floor. When did vampire's become so weak? Maybe she was just getting stronger. The hybrid smirked at herself, she enjoyed being the scary creature in people's stories. It meant that they wouldn't dare to challenge her.

Her tongue traced her lips as she licked away the remaining blood, feeling her body respond well to the liquid.

"What the hell, Lauren!" Colton snarled, entering the compound. He scanned the ten dead bodies on the floor, taking note that it was all his vampires.

"Why did you kill them?" Colton asked angrily, taking a step towards Lauren.

"Because they killed a witch for using magic and I specifically told you to allow the witches to do as they please." Lauren growled. She was angry, what if that witch was Camila? She'd never forgive herself for that.

Colton stepped towards her, jabbing his finger into Lauren's chest. "You don't tell me what to do. This is not your town and not your people."

Lauren glanced down at his finger poking her chest. She gave Colton one look before she grabbed his hand, bending it backwards before it broke.

"Aahhh!" He screamed, caressing his broken hand.

"I think you've forgotten who you're talking to. Just because we go way back Colton, does not mean that I will hesitate to end you right now." Lauren yelled, stepping towards him.

"Okay okay. I'll tell my vamps to lay off the witches." Colton surrendered, not wanting to face Lauren's wrath.

The green eyed girl smiled at his surrender, taking a step back. "I appreciate the cooperation, but if I hear that your vamps attack another witch, I'll kill all of them." Lauren told him.

"What are the witches offering you? You wouldn't go through all this trouble if it wasn't for something important."

"I just want to make sure my alliance with the witches are strong. I wouldn't want to make enemies with people in a town where I live." She answered, before leaving to walk upstairs to her room.

"It's Camila, isn't it? Well do her a favour and stay the hell away from her! You'll only end up hurting her!"

The hybrid carried on walking, not sparing the vampire another glance.

Colton however didn't buy what Lauren told him and he was going to figure out what she was hiding.

"You really don't have to be my body guard 24/7." Camila smiled at the vampire that was curiously looking around Camila's hidden room in the bar that was full of magical items.

"Like I said, I want to." Raven grinned at the witch, looking over her shoulder.

Camila had to hold back a laugh when Raven almost tripped over her own feet, sending a some books fallingto the floor. "Sorry." The vampire shook her head embarrassed, picking up the books that fell to the floor.

"You're forgiven, just try to break anything." The witch teased, glancing back down at the book she was currently reading.

The vampire wanted to kick herself for acting like a fool around Camila. Maybe it would be best if she just sat down. "You still haven't told me why you were crying earlier on." Raven tried to make a conversation.

Camila spared her a quick glance before her eyes returned back to her book. "I got worked up over nothing. I'm fine now." Yeah she got worked up for thinking that there might be something between herself and Lauren.

Raven didn't ask anymore questions, not wanting to upset Camila. "You don't have to tell me what happened, but know that I'm here for you."

Camila looked up at the vampire that had also taken out a book to read. Her heart felt warm from Raven's words.
