"Why were they shooting at me?" Camila asked for the millionth time, but Raven couldn't give her an answer.
"Lauren and Dinah are searching for the men." Raven explained, trying to calm the witch down.
Lauren and Dinah made their way into the house. The hybrid dragged the man that shot her and threw him onto the living room floor.
Camila backed away from the man on the floor and Raven snaked her arm around the witch's waist. Camila felt a little more at ease with the vampire by her side.
"What in bloody hell were you doing shooting at my party?!" Lauren growled into his face.
The man smirked at her anger, not intimidated by the hybrid at all. "Oh, you think this is funny? Let me show you something funny." Lauren brought her fist to his jaw.
Camila winced at the impact, closing her eyes at the graphic scene. Raven gestured for Dinah to take Camila to another room while she helped Lauren deal with this man.
"Lauren stop. You're going to kill him." Raven told the hybrid that was beating the man up. "I think he should die." Lauren expressed, wanting to rip him to shreds.
Raven pushed the hybrid aside, telling her to cool off. The vampire was left alone to speak to the man" I'm going to ask you nicely, what were you doing at that party and just so you know, Lauren is the nicer one between us when I get angry." Raven told him, but the man still remained unphased by the threats.
"You next generation vampires are so cocky and arrogant. I can't wait till all of you get pulled off your high horse." The man chuckled evilly.
"Just tell me why you were at the party." Raven impatiently growled, grabbing him by the collar of his shirt. Her eyes began to glow red, the veins under making its appearance. She didn't want to admit it, but seeing Camila almost get hurt made her really angry.
"Wow such a bad temper. I'll tell you this, there are going to be more people sent to kill that pathetic witch."
"Why?" Raven pushed for more information.
"Because of the prophecy." He answered and Raven frowned at him.
"What prophecy?"
"I already said too much, you'll just have to kill me." He grinned at Raven's frustration. The vampire snarled at him, pulling his vocal chords from his throat.
The man chocked at the assault, blood blocking his airways which resulted in his death.
Raven tried to calm her breathing but the smell of the man's blood filled her senses. She could feel her control slipping away. She just had to bring her fingers to her lips and she'd be able to taste his blood.
"And you told me to calm down." Lauren made her return to the living room, staring at the man's dead body.
Raven took a deep breath in, her eyes returning to its normal colour. She turned to Lauren, with a stoic look on her face.
"There's going to be more of them." Raven told Lauren as she wiped her hands, that were stained with blood.
"More of who?"
"More people are going to try and kill Camila." The vampire explained further. "So it has nothing to do with us?" Raven nodded her head at Lauren's question.
"Well let's kill her, I don't need to be worrying about this right now. I want to reclaim my town and I don't need unwanted visitors screwing that up." Lauren said making her way to the room upstairs.
Raven stepped in front of Lauren, her hand on the hybrid's chest to prevent her from walking further. "You will not harm that girl." Raven sternly told her. Lauren narrowed her eyes at her tone.
