Chapter 24

It was 2 days till Christmas, the backyard looked like a winter wonderland,  and was occupied with their family and friends-- Roman was there as was samoa joe, and Rebecca's childhood friend Finn.  Ashely and her boyfriend drew were there as was Renee and her boyfriend Jon.  Colby's mom was there and seemed to be enjoying herself.  Colby was changing Tommy's clothes while he waited for fit to arrive.

When fit got there ,  Colby took tommy outside and pulled him over to wear the area was set up for dancing in a wagon that was made to look like a sleigh  Colby's friend from the gym Josh  took  some pictures and Colby quick ran into the house and quickly pulled on cranberry colored sweater over his white button down shirt and  slipped the ring box into the pocket of his black pants.

he got the giggles when Josh pushed Tommy towards him on a  in that same "sleigh" from before but he had a little sign that said  "look daddy- here comes your bride" it was just small enough that the guests couldn't see it.

Colby, looked up and his jaw dropped as he saw Rebecca walking towards him.  she looked beautiful in a simple flowy  shimmery white dress that went just past her knees and she had curled her auburn hair and pulled it up into a twist and her make up was simple- she looked ready to party- she was also wearing the locket he had given her for their anniversary.

they mingled with  their guests for a few minutes and then acted like they were going to start  dancing, a man in a suit came over and told them to stop and said he had a few questions for them and their friends!

Rebecca heard Ashley gasp as she realized what was about to happen. Ashley got up and walked over to the sleigh and gently picked up Tommy and held him so  he didn't get fussy.

"Colby Seth Lopez  do you promise to love Rebecca Elizabeth Quinn in sickness and in health for richer  or poorer  in good times and bad,  and be faithful to her until death do you part?"

"i do" he said softly

"what token do you give to each other as a symbol of these promises?"  he asked them "rings" they said softly.

"Rebecca, i give you this ring  as a sign of my never ending love and faithfulness to you." Colby said as he slid the gold band on her finger.

"if anyone here knows why these two should not be joined together in marriage, speak now or forever hereafter hold  your peace."

Colby's mom stood up and said "COLBY DON'T DO IT!!!!!"  "YOU DON'T KNOW FOR SURE IF HER KID IS YOURS... SHE'S PROBABLY JUST USING YOU TO GET A GREEN CARD!!!!!!"   Colby blinked, his face was red...

"And what about the bruises on you neck?" Finn said to Becky as he  walked over by her. he glared at Colby!! Fit got up and looked at Rebecca's neck and chuckled "those aren't bruises ya stubborn dumb fook" "now go sit yer arse down!"

"and you" he said looking at Colby's mom  "there is no doubt the wee lad is his son, he looks just like him... and Becca isn't the kind of lass to lie about something like that or tha would use someone for something."  "besides that" he added  "your lad and her are  deeply in love and want to be together forever....their forever starts today." he said. "so please have a seat."

"does anyone have a legit reason?  the man in the suit asked "no?" good!"  "then keep you moths shut about them forever" he said.

"by the power vested in my by the state of florida, i now pronounce you  husband and wife" he said.

"you may seal the vows and promises you have made to each other with a kiss" he added.

Colby gave Rebecca a little smile and  kissed her tenderly.

"ladies and gentleman, family and friends..  it is my honor to present Mr and Mrs. Lopez!!!!"  everyone clapped and cheered.

everyone danced and partied until it got dark and began to get chilly outside. Colby's mom left in a huff. 

Finn took Rebecca aside and she asked why she had such a problem with her and Colby being together.

"because you were my first love" he told her and because my mum forbid us from seeing each other except for at work and never got the chance to tell you." he said. "i wanted you to be my girl" he added.

"Finn......... i had no idea"  she said "but you need to let go of that"  she said "it was in the past."
